Haha, when you were explaining the paradox of sending a baby back in time it seemed like almost the same episode in red dwarf where they left a baby in a box under a pool table and the box said our rob or ross ( the ouroboros ) The symbol of a serpent eating it's own tail in a never ending cycle.
Just had a thought: Did white Rose try to mechanically recreate what Elliot’s mind did due to trauma? Alternative realities and personalities? Angela says she wish she could talk to her dead mum
It blows my mind how many people claimed to watch all 4 seasons and be so confused about the ending and the personalities. Its not complicated. And Sam Esmail legitimately spells it out for us a few times in the last episode.
the project has roots in reality the idea is to create an artificial particle so heavy that as the fusion reactor is running it becomes so heavy it warps space-time around it as dark matter is created in these quantum reactions that occur in the heart of the artificial neutron star.(you're actually riding that border between where a neutron star becomes a black hole and we're not quite sure how the singularity actually works to bend space-time we just know there is a field created around a Gargantua ("large black hole")
They didn't seem to be worried about the stolen money because the Deus group did a Hard Reset see *leave the word behind* money was about to become useless
Ok so what I understood about the personalities: Elliot's mental stability is (sadly) linked to Darlene's presence. I think it is because Darlene believes their father was an amazing guy and is very obviously jealous of the relationship Elliot had with him. (Flashback to her coming back into his life, when he split and the Mastermind was born, she say's she went to visit their mother and she just can't stand her because their mother always talks trash about their father and "she wishes she could remember him and Elliot must feel lucky" something along this. In her mind, the only bad parent was the mother. There are a lot of instances in the show where she mentions things like this. But the important point is. She came back into Elliots life, made those comments and he had a relapse. As Angela put it in Season 1: "Elliot was doing just fine until you came back."). I think it might be a factor, that Elliot just can't take that one "good thing" away from her and in essence just wants to change everything in part for her. 8He has always protected her) (Host) Elliot: I am pretty sure, that the real Elliot is almost exactly like the Mastermind, with only 1 major difference: Mastermind actually does, what Elliot only dreams about doing. I guess the real Elliott is less angry/ determined and more depressed/ has given up. In 4x13 we see an Elliot that is vastly different, but as Mr. Robot said: "He is as real as he can be, in this imaginary world." Basically, all the surroundings of that Imaginationland are necessary for Elliot to be like the Elliot we see there. But it's not real. So real Elliot is also not like that. So why do i say real Elliot is basically the Mastermind but with less thirst for action? Because we actually see the real Elliot in some flashbacks (yes, also adult Elliot). The first example coming to mind is the first meeting with Shayla. That was the real Elliot (also nicely portrayed without the hoodie, but still all in black). He seemed more submissive (for a lack of better word), like he lacks all impulse for action, as if he is just drifting from one day to another but has given up on actually changing anything, so he only dreams about change. Mastermind: The personality that is trying desperately to save the world and heal it from all evil (for Elliot). He is obsessed with "Deleting" everything wrong with the world, even their own Memories of the Past. But he is so close to the real Elliot, he forgot himself and replaced the host. Mr. Robot: The protector, existing to shelter Elliot from pain, to keep him save. And this is also the explanation for all the fucked up things he does in the show. -> He is focused on protecting Elliot, he can't do that with the Mastermind in charge, so he has to get rid of the Mastermind. How do you do that? get rid of his reason for existing. So the Mastermind was convinced, that getting rid of E-Corp would save the world, that mission needed to be completed PRONTO, get it done, Mastermind can let go and real Elliot is back for Mr. Robot to look after. That's why Mr. Robot always was so focused and intense in finishing the job no matter the cost, as long as it happens quickly. And that's also why Mr. Robot always got mad when the Mastermind started new projects. "There will always be a new project, a new evil that needs defeating." The bombings etc. were just him trying to finish this Job (and the Masterminds control) as fast as possible. ("You're in prison Elliot and I will get you out of there." Season 1) Sorry for this "rant", just needed to get this out. :)
What if the character had been pretending to w a man to get where they were? Sure the actor is a man but maybe they pulled a move out of Mulans book lol
😂 I love watching people get so upset over fictional characters This person got sooo mad that they are like “This RU-vid comment will show him” 😂 we don’t care what you have to say. Make your own videos instead of being a parasite in the comment section
Just coming back from my 5th rewatch. White Rose's project little more than a McGuffin. It doesn't matter what it does and we can speculate all we want but what it is and what is does is less relevant than what it means to whiterose. The key is that SHE believes it will work and was able to convince others that it will as well (e.g. Angela). Mr. Robot deals a lot with abuse, regret and dealing with pain. There's not a character in the story that isn't dealing with some pain and past trauma.

I liked how they used the song “If you go away” in English and then used the same song in French “Ne me quitte pas” later on in the new universe Elliot landed in. Mr. Robot is such an amazing show.
This was the equivalent of breaking bad’s ozymadeus(unsure if the spelling). Everything about this was perfect. I loved how they shot it like a play, but most importantly, the acting. I absolutely LOVED Vera’s role this episode. Showing just how much he cares for and respects Elliot. Perfect tension, perfect everything
You should do proper research before speaking, learn about particle accelerator, learn about other dimensions (4D for example), learn about what dark matter and dark energy is, most important learn where is the limit between reality and Si-Fi because words used in the series are actually a thing. EDIT: You just made the connection between blood and time travel ? 09:14
Thanks a lot for these videos. I really enjoyed your videos. And about the ending... I agree with you unfortunately i didn't like the ending that much (except final sequence that was very emotional anyway), i really really wanted to love it but it felt rushed to me too. And I'm very sad about it right now...
In a grounded realism world WR may just believe a nuclear melt down may wipe out a massive amount of people who she may believe will go back in time in another world. Sci Fi theory would aim towards possible time travel but extremely limited. Question is how realistic is Mr Robot
Tyrell is actually the main protagonist of the Elliot persona. The blue light is the blue light from the heart monitor and the woods is the picture hanging in his hospital room.
If his thearapist was not afraid of retaliation from white rose criminal org she would have put him under restraint to prevent further damage he had done to himself and others. He sufferred so needlessly and the viewers were somehow dumbfounded to witness it. I did not enjoy the show honestly it was a revelation to expose what is going on behind important doors and who is working for it to happen
I won't shit on you for it because I know it was a different time a few years ago, but I do just want to point out that Whiterose is one of the best examples of trans representation in media and if Elliot and everyone else can respect her pronouns then you should be able to as well. Otherwise, excellent analysis of an incredible climactic moment
The alternate reality is the one essentially created by the mastermind. In this reality that he created, he creates an entire different world. It's like they are stuck in this limbo. Thinking it's real. Just like the real Elliot is stuck in his own limbo. (parallel reality). All was good as long as these two realities were compartmentalized and kept separate. But whiterose seems to want to converge these two worlds. An intiation to bring integrity to the disintegrated mind of the original Elliot. To crack open the mastermind's world. She keeps saying, "we have to trust Elliot's intuition on this", it almost seems like it's her sole mission. In the final episode Krista says, " we are all here to show you what you don't wanna see. " The world of Mastermind Elliot seems almost surreal. A company called E-corp, the strong faith of Elliot that 1 percent of the people control the world and it's his job to take them down, (paranoia, schizophrenic symptoms, believing grandiose narratives like someone else wants to destroy the world and he needs to save it) he says "ones who is playing god without permission", in this world, white rose, who seems much like the shadow of Elliot himself, having grand ideas and interests like "changing the world", making it a better place. The odd inability of white rose to stop giving Elliot second chances, placing a lot of value in him, almost killing / replacing anyone suggesting that she get rid of Elliot. Maybe it's Elliot fighting Elliot. Both have grandiose thinking, similar coping mechanisms of trying to 'escape reality', white rose even says, " we are on the same side". "Maybe he sees that and we don't have to fight". So, finally when the nightmare ends with white rose killing herself, she says, "you'll see", she is no longer there ending that plot/reality and further ending the purpose of Mastermind to exist, or his world to exist. Mastermind travels(in his mind) into another reality, and finds that this is no place for him, thus tampering with the perfect narrative of this perfect world, only for the rest of the parts to start unravelling and finally tell him, he should stop. And let the real Elliot wake up into the real world. The Darlene mastermind sees before he says goodbye, is a part of Mastermind's world. But the real Darlene seems, completely surprised as though she dint/never talked to mastermind Elliot two minutes ago. The entire time travel, changing the world and saving it from one villain who is thinking of hacking time, seems too unreal, almost like a dream. Almost symbolic. Like how our subconscious communicates in dreams to our conscious. All this intense conflict keeps the real Elliot from waking up to reality. Maybe Elliot didn't end up in the hospital after the time machine melted, but surely that marked the ending of the Mastermind's world. However original Elliot must have been in hospital much before the entire show even began. Ending up not being a part of it at all. So, versions of angela, Darlene, tyrell, his mom, dad, a lmost he had each one in each reality. Even whiterose. In the perfect fantasy of Elliot, whiterose was a female and still a powerful leader. Why else would she feature in this limbo that he created for the original Elliot? Unless, she too was a figment of his imagination. Besides it doesn't make any sense for elliot to go after Ecorp and having this motivation to take them down, strong ideas against captalism etc, when in reality fhey did him a huge favour by indirectly becoming the cause of the death of his abusive father. Also, whiterose was too eager to show Elliot something. A proof of alternate reality. And when the moment finally came, she does that by shooting herself. ( Showing she is not real). Triggering Elliot to wake up. He does too, to a different level of subconscious before he comes close to waking up in the real life, completely conscious. In short, i think the timetravel, the traversing of different realities is in Elliot's mind really. Hence the question, "what is real" remains looming even to us, as though nothing makes sense. Since alternate reality is not a thing. But definitely something a mental illness can make seem real.
The end goal of therapy for many mental illnesses Disassociative Personality Disorder included; is to watch the old you die so a new one can be reborn. That is essentially what we're watching and its such a cool way of framing it. 10/10
