Welcome to Milo Lines Golf! This channel is here to provide you with coaching and tips to help you play better at this game. Most of this content was filmed at beautiful Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club in Gold Canyon, Arizona. And while the majority of my instruction is in person, you can gain access to exclusive content, work with my team, and get monthly swing evaluations (plus much more) through our online academy at milolinesgolf.com.
Sergio says it, Justin Rose says it, Ernie Else says it, Pete Cowen says it... It is first an arm swing and you have to bring your arms down first. The hips will follow your arms.
Thanks Milo if I set the wrist angle on back swing can I just pin my left arm to my chest and rotate my chest? take the arms and hands out of the swing
Great video! Actually explains a lot of the differences I've been feeling but never understood with those wrist conditions very insightful. Oddly enough I actually swung like this for a while where I was doing my wrist intentionally like a chop move and doing radio only through impact. It wasn't terrible but it was definitely not nearly as repeatable or consistent LOL
From a torso perspective, the move he is showing is more or less symmetrical, but as far as single plane, at the wrist and arm level the swing can appear different.

This is super helpful, I've been stuck in this thought of "keeping the back to the target as long as possible" and just lost all athletic feels... Thanks @milolinesgolf

Milo - Is there any hit using the arms in the swing or is the club only moved by the rotation of the body? If there is an arm hit involved, could you direct me to one of your videos that explain how it works? Thanks, Tom
Love your stuff Boys. I really love the videos you did with Elite Golf Schools. Your two channels are my go to's. Would love to see another collab with them.

From 11:17 to 11:25 .. made into a short video and then made into a hour loop which we can play everyday. Then it's just a matter of time before we're all going "yeah yeah yeah yeah" 😊
@@ping7979 yes and no. Draw only refers to the curve of the ball. Most amateur players aim well right of the intended target and then pull the ball with a slight left curve and call that a draw while elite players aim straight but swing slightly from in to out starting the ball slightly right of their aim drawing back on target ball may curve the same and start in the same direction but relative to the players body alignment they are very different.
I never really understood why so many on here are proponents of this. It’s more about starting the downswing properly, not intentionally hanging back to prevent going over the top. Lol I believe these players don’t understand the intention of release. Hey, that was pretty good. Intention of release.
I do really struggle with this but understand the importance I think being 61 and 6'3" I always wanted to swing like Tom Weiskopf (who didn't?) so that soft left knee through impact is REALLY hard to get out of!

Have always admired DD's swing. Because this swing is so rotational , can you confirm that straightening of the left leg on almost all FULL shots is occuring? Does appear you are finishing with the left leg in an almost straight up and down orientation with the extreme rotation of the body core and torso resulting in the majority of your weight ending up in your left heel? Am I misunderstanding what I think I am seeing? Please Advise. This is similar to what I think I see in Fred Couples swing as well......who is also known for flushing the crud out of the ball time after time. Thank you for the video Sir. . jdp
Not necessarily fully extending, but a better way of saying it could be losing flex. I really like the 7:27 swing. If you put this into a repeatable loop we can watch it over and over and the monkey 🐒 see monkey 🙈 do takes over where it becomes hard wired into our monkey brains. Thanks Milo. 😊

Great video, Milo. The problem that I apparently had for YEARS was that I thought open shoulders meant I turned my right shoulder out over the ball. This caused a more flat turn, which caused the club to come outside its plane, and resulted in these deadly pull hooks. I finally learned that my right shoulder does indeed turn, but it stays lower than the left shoulder through the strike, not level with the left shoulder. Also, keep those hips moving to an open position. If your hips stall before it opens up, your shoulders will remain closed as well.
I've always had excellent contact when rotating the chest open, I just tend to pull the ball because my shoulder plane is far too level, with very little side bend.
@@MiloLinesGolf Wow very interesting. I would like to hear what other teachings you guys agree on or don"t. You guys both explain your teachings very well and make both sound very compelling and logical.
@@domenickpalmiotto2823 I was Mike’s assistant for many years and we agree on most things especially the crossover of other athletic movements. I taught turning the steering wheel the other way for a time and saw how that concept affected the swing as a system and decided it went against how I want to move as an athlete so I returned to my roots.
Does it apply to right to left break also?,for example, if I lay down the putter on right to left slope, should I try to make my putter horizontal so that my heel gonna lift up a bit, thanks.
