My Archery Blog covers everything archery from archery book reviews, equipment reviews, tips, and it's an online diary of my shooting for myself and a whole lot more. RU-vid is the home of my home made archery videos.
it's march of 2024 and the problem still hasn't been fixed. I went from a note 20 ultra 5g to an S24 ultra. the note 20 created the backup files. but the s24 won't read them or create a file system to find them in the app. The problem is mantis doesn't actually care about the archery app. they only focus on their firearms software.
I use one of the 5 inch diameter thin rubber round jar openers to pull arrows. It has a lot of grip and if you have two arrows that are stuck close together you just wrap it around both of them and pull them out together.
How do you turn off Arrow Number when you're scoring shots, can't find it and it's irrelevant for what I'm doing, would it to just ignore what number the arrow is and count the shot.
What's happened to barebow? OK, I do understand those who rely on add ons. You did ask "tell me". I shoot trad recurve, the only reason I use string hair balls is that I find it quite. If you need these long suppreors and such like then the bow is not properly tuned to you're arrows. Anyway, interesting video and at the end of the day we have preferences. Interesting Anyway 😊 I use as little as possible. Technique and regular practice is better than gadgets, just my opinion
I really liked this particular video as I have this app and did not know how to use it, but watching this tutorial helped a great deal, highly recommend ArcheryBlog.👍👍
Hi first thanks for the review there aren't many for the Avalon Hardshell. I did get the bag and I really like it. I did want to point out one issue that has come up after about eight months of regular use. I tend to use the bag as a backpack over one shoulder. I recently noticed that the strap where it is sewn into to the bag has started to tear. I think it might be the zipper from the storage compartment for the straps rubbing against it. Just something to be aware of, other than that I love the bag.
Your videos have been very useful in helping me figure out which size Decut Hock 3 tab I need. I bought both a medium and a large for the very same reasons you have mentioned and may be reverting to using the medium. Now I am thinking about trying the Decut RUGB2.
Are you still using a bow sensor like bowdometer or mantis to this date? If yes, which one? Does it integrate with other scoring apps. I'm just really getting into archery and I'm a full on nerd and data scientist. So this stuff is my jam. Any pointers you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
I'm still using the bowdometer quite a bit, but I need to take it off when entering competitions. Really, I'm only using that to count my arrows. If you want to improve your shooting, the Mantis is the way to go. But it does take some work and you need to tell it where every arrow went. There is another new one on the market now as well, forget the name.
Not that I know of. Although on some risers you can purchase clicker plate extensions or just larger clicker plates than the ones that come supplied with the risers, but they won't give you full movement that something like this extended clicker will give you.
@@ArcheryblogUk I just received a Nika sight-mounted clicker. It works very well. I also 3D printed a clicker plate that does not have clicker barrel plate.
A fellow Barebow archer put me onto this app within the last couple of months. I've tried several now and every app I've tried has had something missing. This app is fantastic and I love it gives you your average for the round as well as letting you know if you qualify for any qualifications (archer 2nd etc)
You can rotate them equally, but in order to get a positive or negative tiller (difference between top and bottom limb) you may need to give one bolt more of a rotation than the other one.
It's all changed a bit from number of times, it's now a certain number of arrows from 2023. archerygb.org/resources/outdoor-classifications-and-handicaps
I'm currently doing 252's at my club, we have to score 252 three times within 12 months to be awarded the badge for one distance not just once. did you miss saying this. What does other clubs do?
Now that I have received my Hock 3, I see that the entire tab can be disassembled by unscrewing a number of allen-head screws. The leather can be removed and a simple pattern can be made.
I've used the full-wrap around type pullers but I found that (with my compound bow) they dont' have good enough grip. I know use the square type which can get you an enormous amount of grip due to the leverage it provides with relatively little hand pressure. For pulling really tough arrows, the square is the best grip.
· 100% CORRECT !!!! The Limbsaver Broadband is fitted where the limb-base has tapered down to [basically] the main thickness. A few misguided saps fit them far, far tooo close to the riser, where the broadband limbsaver does nothing. 🤦♂️
