My name is Phil and some time back I was looking for a project and as I have been learning guitar for a few years I thought building an acoustic guitar would be a challenge. The last time I did wood work was at school over 40 years ago, but I did do an engineering apprenticeship so have some experience with working with small detail. Having read a book and watched a few RU-vid videos I thought there is more engineering to this that joinery. I spent most of a year creating drawing, templates and jig and finding sources for wood, tools and all the other things that go into making an acoustic guitar. But now I am making a start and plan to video most of the project, I will edit together the clips each week and post a video on Thursday or Friday of the weeks progress, if you want to follow my progress see what involved in making an acoustic guitar and see how I get on with my first guitar please subscribe, like and feel free to ask questions in the comments.
