We are a young at heart couple in our fifties enjoying early retirement and life in general. We have just completed the full 500 mile Camino Frances and are now travelling for the winter in Asia taking in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. We try to post a new travel video each week if we can and have a wide and varied back catalogue on our channel covering walking, travelling, fixing stuff, cooking and most importantly having a laugh.

What's the name of the resort that you stayed in outside of Kampot. Looks right up our street. Quiet, good views, nice bungalows etc....would really appreciate the name of it if you have that detail. All the best Sam

@@the_lost_navigator7266 it could be. There is a single line down the one side to allow trains to cross in one direction. I also believe only the East Coast Mainline is electrified.
We loved Denmark. Take a few essentials with you that you know are going to cost more than the UK like sauces, some beers etc. The roads are superb and so are the people. If you do go in to Sweden or Norway take everything you need. A friend of mine told me last week a bag of supermarket potatoes are now £4....ouch. Now we have retired we are going to travel through Denmark again next year and then on to Norway and up to the Artic Circle and come back in a loop through Sweden. Have a great holiday
Yes, got it on long term loan from my daughter who doesn't really use it. It's a DJI mini 3. In the UK you don't need a licence for ones that small and you can fly up to 120 metres pretty much anywhere away from an airfield. Hope you guys are doing good and the aches from the final leg of the Camino have all passed.....:)

I think most pilgrims clearly haven’t heard of RU-vid. I live on the north route and every year I still see pilgrims with 85l expedition packs and wrong size shoes, despite hundreds of videos giving good advice. Osprey Talon 33 or similar is enough!
Glad you enjoyed it. It must be close to the time when you planned to return to complete your last leg of the Camino. Unfortunately, I would say the last leg is less interesting and historic as the others; however, there will be many more pilgrims and lots of interesting people to meet on the way. Beware of anyone called Miguel who has a nice house to rent. We have great memories of our time together on the Camino and in Casa Miguel. Getting hosed down by the maid before swimming in the pool and then a superb meal......sooo much fun..!

Apparently it is a requirement of Malysian Immigration that visitors have a ticket to leave the country again when they enter. When we went to check in for the flight in Vietnam the airline would not check us in unless we had a ticket to get back out of Malaysia afterwards. They explained that if we didn't have one and they let us board the aircraft and we were refused entry to Malaysia they would be responsible for taking us back in to Vietnam. In order to do this I just went on to booking.com and booked the cheapest flight possible (£19 - no luggage -Penang to Singapore) They then let us board. Interestingly enough, when we got to Malaysia they did check we had accommodation booked and travel out of the country booked too. I was unable to change the flight with booking.com nor get a refund so we simply didn't show for the the flight and eventually flew out a week or two later. It made no difference as we were stamped in for 90 days. Hope that helps.
