No matter where you are in your life or student journey, MIT has a place for you.
We are the place for all people, and our relationship with our students is a lifelong connection. We celebrate and draw upon our diversity. Our cultural traditions, languages, beliefs, and skills draw from many ethnic groups. People from all walks of life flourish at MIT, creating a rich tapestry of understanding and then spreading it out across the world.

Well done MIT! I can't seem to find any other videos from other institutions, so well done on getting this up and running. I will be promoting it at our Options Evening at school
I don't know whether you're still working for MIT, but my niece wasn't given a note-taker when she asked for one. MIT has removed her from her course, making her sign a withdrawal. The same has happened to another student, while a different student has been transferred to the following semester. What do they have in common? All have a disability or learning difficulty. They were also in a health studies course that apparently preaches about not discriminating against those with disabilities. At the beginning of the semester, my neice saw the disability services team and provided them with back up information of her challenges (documentation from her doctor). She repeatedly asked for note-takers in class, yet the tutors went against what they claim on this MIT disabilities support link www.manukau.ac.nz/student-life/student-support/disability-services-and-support?fbclid=IwAR1oQ98p6VFcSec_U6_CCLx9Ya_vFZsMEiwNJbLlTOhvdTbrOjHkU0NWTOo My sister will be taking this matter further because quite frankly, this is a disgrace.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention - student service is our priority and we are looking into exactly what has happened and how we can assist the students involved. If you wish to discuss this further, I invite you to contact our Disability team on (09) 968 7669 or disability@manukau.ac.nz.
