Claire makes men ache. She is stunning and articulate. I noticed Midas recently changed the actress but kept other parts of the ad. Big mistake.

That's veteran character actor John Hoyt as "the old man". For over 40 years on TV, movies (and radio), Hoyt had a reputation for playing characters with cold, clipped, sardonic, and/or cynical attitudes ("STAR TREK" fans know him as "Dr. Boyce" in the first pilot, "The Cage" {aka "The Menagerie"}). By 1975, he "mellowed" into appearing as elderly gentlemen with a "sly" attitude {which also served him well, as "Grandpa" on "GIMME A BREAK!"}. He lived to be 85, succumbing to lung cancer in 1991.
