This video was amazing! You seem so passionate about music, and it was so nice to get some more knowledge about this album. It's definitely one of my favorites of all time. It's was so nice spending an hour watching this!
First time I ever heard this song long time ago, I was like wow…this dude sounds like Johnson but it can’t be, this is a Japanese artist. Years later, the surprise on my face when I learned that it was in fact Johnson playing 😂 Killer cover! Well done!

Hi Alex! I really appreciate your cover of Anri and many city pop songs. It helps me a lot in learning bass :) Could I request for Anri - Driving My Love cover?
That music, is that from the sountrack to the PC game VVVVVVVV? So amazing. Either VVVVVVVV music author took the tune and made it chiptune music or this video contains some of that soundtrack. It's so lovely to hear the tune.
I reply to myself, for anyone encountering this: It's actually Guile's Theme from the Street Fighter 2 game. I was able to roughly gauge the music origin after listening to it a few more times, which is funny, because the video has its title stating it's Guile's theme. The VVVVVV tune was modelled after it, there is definitely some influence. I can also hear a possible influence of Jim Power Amiga game soundtrack on the SF2 tune but that is completely unproven speculation.

Through the forest where the sun shines through the trees, The road is endless, like a maze of mirrors. As I cross the misty valley, I see the legendary towers rising faintly It appears as if it were a shadow puppet I look back the way I came, but the years have already passed, And a strange figure is reflected in the lake below I scream to cling to it, but the surface of the water is only shaking... I WOKE UP FROM A LONG DREAM, AND GREETED THE MORNING AS USUAL I wake up from a long dream I'm wandering through the white city, trying to reach a square that is said to be far away. Through the forest where the sun shines through the trees... B1_4. PARTY TONIGHT Music Composed, Arranged and Produced by HIROYUKI NAMBA Lyrics: Yukari Udo You left the dance floor and dance on the terrace under the moon spotlight You're a moon dancer You seem to soar into the night sky It's our party tonight It's our party tonight The stars are shining in the night sky It's our party tonight It's our party tonight Tilt your glass to me, my love Your white dress is fluttering and red lips are dazzling I wonder if what I see in your eyes is the shadow of a wondrous sky It's our party tonight It's our party tonight Stars twinkle in the night sky It's our party tonight It's our party tonight Everybody, let's have a toast It's our wedding party tonight for us two Two moons are watching over us Phobos and Deimos Phobos and Deimos Two moons shining brightly Phobos and Deimos Phobos and Deimos Two moons twinkling B4_07_ City Of Silver Gray Music Composed , Arranged By - Hiroyuki Namba, Lyrics By - Yukari Udo The comb of rose flower ornaments that's fallen under the mirror in my room Will never adorn your hair again You came to me on a whim and disappeared with the wind At least close the door on your way out. You're never coming back here anyway My heart is in turmoil I hate you I hate you I'm alone in this room on a freezing dark night I'm trying to solve a mystery with a vacant stare I'm like a clown dancing in solitude, seeking your love But I can say it for the first time as if I've broken the spell of Medusa I love you I love you In this town surrounded by buildings and asphalt My thoughts of love for you echo in vain Ooh ooh I love you I love you // Hiroyuki Namba was born in Sugamo, Toshima, Tokyo in September 1953. Respect man; transcribing this myself at the moment and it's freakin fast. I think he's playing a g and c# double stop at the very start of the piano solo and keeps it as a motif. You've shown me stuff that I've missed too!
