Show some respect for the mosque. Cover yourself. You don't enter Notre-Dame de Paris dressed like that. You don't enter a synagogue dressed like that neither. Plus, this is not a moroccan Mosque so don't bring everything to it. If you read history you know it's deeply rooted and related to Algeria 🇩🇿
Historical description: "the great mosque of paris" was built from 1922 to 1926 by the architects Robert Fournez, Maurice Mantout and Charles Heubès, according to the plans of Maurice Tranchant de Lunel, Inspector General of Fine Arts in Morocco, who was inspired by the mosques of Fes. The renovation of this building was carried out by a French company which called on craftsmen from Fez in 2015.
Been never there. Any good? Initially build in the 1920s to honor the Muslim troups of the Army of Africa who fought in WW1. It's actually the counterpart of the catholic cathedral Notre Dame d'Afrique and the Grande Synagouge in Algiers. And rumor goes that's it's exterritorial area of Algeria since 1957. Not that I would have anything to do with Algeria. But apparently it was a donation to the three departements of Algeria by De Gaulle and French foreign minister to then time 4 million Algerians who lived in France as part of the pacification attempt and later peace negotiations in Evian to end the War in Algeria. The war ended. Just not with the hoped-for outcome for France. And the Grande Mosqee de Paris became later property of the Republic of Algeria. I mean, I have never been to Montparnasse or Paris before. Nor have I lived in Barbes or Chateau Rouge or Porte d'Orelans. Nor do I have family members living in France or Algeria and Morocco. So therefore I wouldn't know anything about it.

I just discovered you, wahh why haven't I found you before now? (it's 4/21/19) I watch everything I can about Paris. We've lived in Germany 1980-84 and got to travel around Europe but not Paris, and I aim to remedy that this year! Lovely video, so full of life, I subscribed :)
