I've owned one for about 20 years. Like you say, its a fine rifle. Accurate, tough and just enough weight to help tame some of the kick you get from some of the more spirited loads. I feed mine 240gr hornady jhp over 22.5 gr of lil' gun. It's never failed me. It's always helped me keep the freezer stocked and has earned a place of honor in the gun cabinet.
I'm a lady and I vastly prefer to use a revolver for 22. I've only had two rounds fail to go bang. They are also very easy to get good and clean. I have some wranglers and a single ten. I really like single actions, especially Rugers.
A few weeks ago I went shooting and my 22 rifle jammed and quit working all together. I had the rifle since 1983 and it never jammed with thousands of rounds. I took it apart and cleaned it and it has worked every time since. It was so dirty that the magazine follower wouldn't feed the rounds and the bolt wouldn't move back. I real lesson was learned.
Thinking of building something like this, watching videos...Never expected to run across my doppelganger....My wife agreed, we could be twins , even the glasses, hat and hair...Feel bad for you😅
I have the a1 model in .45 that is solid. Got the bantam in 9mm that is a damn good pistol. Only issue I had was mag feed that was easily solved with Wilson combat mags.
I bought one of these a few months ago and I am quite happy with my purchase. The only negative thingI can say about it is that the bushing to barrel fit is a little sloppy.
Yeah that would have helped. If you watch the whole video then you know I figured out that I had to put together wrong. And that I did manage to get it put together right. Thanks for watching
