I did St Goueno with him and the rest of his Irish legends. (Sarah the Sierra ect"), my wife has never drunk red wine since that Sunday night lol. Real decent folk and poor Simon a great loss
Why do RWD rally drivers always hang a lot of oversteer on corner exit? They always push the back past straight from corner exit so their thrust is not pointing in the direction they want to travel. Doesn't that mean that they are slower than possible?
Motorsport Ireland deeply regrets that competitor Simon McKinley of Naul, County Meath, has passed away following injuries received in a tragic accident that occurred at the Clare Motor Club Hillclimb today Saturday 25th April 2015. As a mark of respect the organisers, Clare Motor Club, have cancelled the remainder of the event. Motorsport Ireland and Clare Motor Club extend their heartfelt sympathy to Simon’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this very sad time.
This guy is good. To give you an idea of his sense of car control watch 1:07 for the right - left - right. Then watch it back again watching just his hands. Then again. That's the difference between a quick driver and a fast driver. Wish I had the money/balls/tallent to do this.
Simon McKinely is the exciting driver to watch since Ayrton Senna!!! Hands down... I wish i had even a tenth of a percent of that skill. Great driving & post more vids
I cant believe your name is not bigger in the rally scene. youre driving reminds me of the aggressive group B style and what i think is the quickest way to get round any circuit. Thats why senna for example would dominate. He wasnt scared to push it that bit more than other drivers because he was quick, confident and aggressive enough to catch the car and handle it with ease where others were scared of going into that territory and would rather stay in theyre (safe zone)
I have driven the SR3 and SR8 ,, not a lot but i guess around 50 laps around the ASCARI recatrack.. absolutly magnificent track car,, would like to try the TURBO SR3,, Your driving style reminds me of Rob,, the Radical testdriver
