Hey just wondering if you had any knowledge about dense traffic maps with higher player count may take 5-8 minutes for me to load in sometimes just not letting me join overall?
so you had bunch of stuff maxxed out way beyond CSP default / recommended settings, maxxed out to where you would not be able to spot difference but double gpu usage for no reason at all. then reset them. of course thats gonna free up FPS because you overdrove the gpu with unneccessary junk before. you had maxxed out shadows and reflections which are the biggest consumers of GPU. resetting to reasonable value will be better. turning off grassfx and smoke and world details to minimum is a terrible idea. id say average assetto player is on rtx 2060 which is 3x slower than your 4080. render distance 2000m? how is that reasonable? default is 600m. i always run 200m. ambient occlusion is off by default. motion blur is off by default. you turned them on and then off. wtf :D the title is clickbait because you overworked GPU with unnecessary stuff and then reversed it. it should be "How to go from 300FPS to 90FPS, and back"
you're right, and alot of people download graphics mods that have ridiculous settings turned on in csp to fake the graphics mod being awesome looking, which is why I show everything. but thanks for the feedback
I built my rig with a 6950xt and a 12700k with 32gs of ram with triple 1440p 165hz at fully maxed settings and got 90-100 frames avg forever...Literally like a month ago all of a sudden i jump back into the same servers ive been in for over a year and now im avg 50-60....wtf happened, didnt realize my demigod pc couldnt touch assetto anymore...meanwhile fully maxed settings on Forza motorsport and get 100plus fps
Yeah, there are a couple really demanding settings, and then there are some really demanding servers as well and you can literally get 400 fps one minute in single player and then go have lag spikes in the wrong server another time.

Hey Mike, this was an awesome video and I am very grateful you took the time to make it, explain it, and walk everyone through such a detailed process on how to achieve max FPS. Another good way to achieve max FPS is by rendering your desktop in a slightly lower resolution.....scaling your GPU to the resolution and increasing sharpness in the Nvidia App.....then rendering in game at the desired resolution. I found this helped prevent the game from crashing by using extreme graphics settings. For VR users, I found rendering at a higher resolution gave me higher FPS as my system is optimized for 1440p to 4K .... rendering at 1080p also gave me terrible FPS as backwards as that sounds....?! So try to render what your system is best optimized for while using tips like this from Mike to spice up your FPS. Cheers guys, don't blow your motors too hard
I appreciate your feedback, I'd like to reply to a couple things: 1) What you said about VR is true, because it's much harder to balance. You need to run enough on the game to where your GPU is pushing, but you need to run the right servers, and workload for the VR to pick up everything faster, in VR terms, you really get what you pay for and from what I understand to run a smooth high refresh rate in VR you need to do everything you said and I said and more in online servers. 2) Mostly just appreciate your info, I do know of what you talk about, but I mostly stick to the in-game stuff but I might make a video about how to use Nvidia stuff and AMD with assetto because I have had both types of cards on low and high end Have a good day!
It depends on the mod, but most importantly it usually starts with the smallest shortest wheelbased car in the game and then physics to change that. When bikes came out I was popping wheelies using reverse into first and changing gear ratios, but it's just becuase the vehicle is so light in the game. Then they add a bunch of physics of steering and a lean animation and I just like real bike games lol idk i'm just yapping
@@scgmike7805 yeah I know they aren’t realistic I’m talking about the collider size issue, I should’ve been more specific there were a lot of points in the video lol, I could’ve just not noticed it on the ones I played with but I made a few super close cuts with them and never had it do what coolkids bike did in the clip. Also if you haven’t already you should make a video talking about how unrealistic some cars are compared to others, lots of ppl in the community don’t seem to understand that cars like prvvy’s don’t control well because he’s good at tuning, they control well because they’re wildly unrealistic in every way. I’ve heard people say that Kunos cars suck because they’re so used to the super grippy 1000hp no hesi cars, I feel like you would explain that much better than I did. Cause in my opinion there’s no point in playing assetto corsa if your gonna play with cars that feel like they’re from an arcade game. The main reason it’s irritating is because no AC clips are impressive to me anymore, if I see a crazy traffic clip I assume that it’s with no hesi type cars and if I see a crazy drift clip I assume their using gravy type cars and it just isn’t impressive anymore, in the same way carx clips are way less impressive than AC clips.
You just saved my love for this game thank you it was getting so bad over the years with all the graphics updates that I went from playing at over 100 fps 3 years ago to 20 fps now
The point of the video is to show the drastic changes you can make with FPS, render latency, and visuals. If you can't run the game well, or at all, but can run the lowest settings, you can always go back to replay to edit your clips. I design my videos in mind of LOW SPEC users being able to play the game, and I design my content around helping others. Have a good day everyone, take care, and stay gaming!
They werent lying, it is a bike mod in a private server, and the low spec servers? they arent saying it will work for everyone, and low spec servers arent easy to get in Assetto corsa, especially if its a no hesi style server, pretty sure the models have to be a certain width as well, ive had a ton of bike mods, all the same, this is why they arent really seen in servers at all, because they need a lot of work
Well, the low spec servers are a lie, I've been telling Prvvy forever, and everyone else running fake low spec servers. lol why would the bikes be any different
@@scgmike7805 I dont believe they are a lie, its just a hard game to run with the amount of mods, even on no dlc servers, where its just the map and traffic, some people can hardly run it, and the bikes arent a lie, they added them, they never said it was perfect, that there wasnt going to be any bugs. I respect the time and effort you going into making these videos but they arent lying about these two stuff mentioned in the video.
I would make different changes, also, not testing while at night is a mistake, reflections created by light changes DRASTICALLY at night when you turn on or off some settings that would only give you like 10 fps... Anyway. I believe this will help many people that cant afford powerfull hardware.
I appreciate your last comment there, these videos are made to support our low spec community who really needs the help with running the game. I absolutely agree with you, for some of us out there, these settings would not be reasonable. For some of us out there, these settings will let you play in the no hesi server.
@@finessed.rugrat You can post your PC specs and I'll tell you what you should do, I have a Patreon for people who want to buy the newest filters & have access to a customized graphics pre-set built by me for you, but it's not needed. In my discord, I have all of the PC optimizations and video posted that you could possibly need. In some of my newer videos I have been including a few AC video and CSP pre-sets to try out. Drop your PC specs and il help you out abit :)
Can you please explain your definition of better shadows? Cause increasing shadow res doesn't make the shadows better by itself, so let's hear what "better" is. Also, smoke generation in AC video causes tons of pre-rendering and predicted rendering. The best way to get the best most realistic smoke with not using performance is to disable smoke generation and add it in CSP particles FX instead. Have a good one, thanks for the useless input.
Shows what is posible in AC and where you have to adjust the settings. It is actually not that easy with complex AC with CSP, PURE, Filters, etc... But it is worse the time! With what ever Engine you have you can archive smooth gameplay and best possible graphic, better than in other Sims...
@@johnnyboycamm I have the second best GPU right now and a 3D processor with 128GB RAM. This video is for exactly what you said, getting better performance or fixing your good PC getting bad performance, have a good one johnnyboy.
so you worked on mods and content for other people's videos which they achieved fame from and you're bitter because their "community" is thriving whilst yours is not? seems like a you problem, if you think you can do a better job than them then just do it and quit yappin
that's not it, the difference is my community is thriving to me and always has been. I'm just here to help people, not make money from people by lying, anyone who's given me money for something has always received their exact expectation or better. I don't have paid servers, I never have or ever will.
A lot of these come from the Extra FX.. Disable it and you can double the fps on that alone. Motion blur is a FPS killer in my tests, Grass rendering and stuff like it can be turned off. I suggest instead of tweaking sliders here and there, just untick the box and disable one segment, one by one and check and compare before and after, then go back and tweak the settings and compare again..
@@Therearethings8148 Everyone is different, but i'll explain it easy. The higher FPS you can push, the lower render times. Higher FPS + lowest render times = fastest response to input. Real drivers, professional drivers, casual racers, drifters, street racers, togue runners, track racers, all of these people understand what I'm talking about. Now if you don't have a wheel, or a high FPS monitor, or if you're 15 and don't drive in real life and don't know what to feel for, then sure, it doesn't matter as much.
@@scgmike7805 You got to 330 and made the game look like Mario Bros caped at 170 fps. Tuning the game like you did was very helpful though, but the end result was not great. But it shows how to make fries from a potato.
@@toretull Looked very bad at the end, but the point is there is a balance to be had and even super low end pc's can run the game at really high fps, I was also online in a traffic server in the video. Single player would be alot more across all settings so it's just to show people how big of a difference things can make.
im sorry but my man ofc the bike mod is gonna be a reskin of a car noone is lying thats just how you are gonna get a bike into assetto theres no way to make an actual bike mod in assetto this is the best we will be able to get in assetto
I don't think it's the best we'll be able to get, but I believe it's far from being properly done. It's far from being good, I appreciate people trying to make content good and fun but there isn't anything worse for people than not knowing what the hitbox is on their vehicle.
Thanks a lot. Your Guides are really the best I could find. My max. is locked 120fps, but because of 2k triples and 2 additional screens this is absolutly fine for my pc specs with a 3080 and a 10700k.. Just wanna say thank you, keep doing this Vids! AC is still amazing and better with each pure/csp update🎉
