Just back in Australia after visiting Scotland. What a beautiful country. My Menzies heritage makes me feel very comfortable there, and what can I say about your bag pipe laying, wonderful. Keep it up, I have subscribed so I can hear more. Well done.
@@douggrant3998 hi there. I found the information on pipetunes and teachyourselfbagpipes that the tune was named for his grand-daughter who died at age 4. But indeed, his wife was Nona too.
Good stuff. I reckon just pull the tempo back and push theme notes out and it will be a different tune. The way ya playing it is fine in a band situation but mate its all there please dont get me wrong. Pipes / Drones sound mint as. Cheers MP
@@m.r.b.806 i very often use thesession website and add different ornamentation. Depends on my liking and what suits best for me. Don't have the notes of exactly the same version I play
Thanks for the kind words. I saw a video of Kristan Harvey playing the tune on YT and just learned it adding some piping embellishments. I think you can find the dots on thesession website
I had heard Hong Kong Police band played this song when I was take a trip in Hong Kong in 2016,and some of my Hong Kong's friend said it is the represent song of RHKP before 1997.
