Does the Ag World actually understand that China no longer buys US grains , except that the US is the residual seller of last resort ????!!!!! China has a consortium of Russia, Brazil, Argentina , Iran and 122 other countries to trade corn, wheat, soybeans .....and all of these countries are placing their trades with the New Development Bank , aka BRICs Bank. Any US dollars with these trades aren't going through US banks , and local currencies are also being used. And wait until the Peru port opens in November 2024 ......the only way US traders will know what's going on is to have real people watching the transactions at the ports. The China / US Cold War is heating up, and there is good reason that world events don't move the grain markets. The US agricultural industry is becoming more and more a regional player . It's China and the BRICs that are the global players.
If the companies don’t want to pay workers what they were awarded in arbitration-specifically, compensation for being forced onto a 24/7 continuous schedule that inevitably includes holidays-then they should reconsider the demands they placed on those workers. The workers were awarded double time for holiday shifts, as decided by the arbitrator, in exchange for accepting significant cutbacks to their own interests. If the companies are unhappy with this, they should return to a 5-day workweek, allowing employees to reclaim their valuable time with their families. The workers were pushed into a 6-day workweek, sacrificing personal time. If companies don’t want to schedule workers on holidays, they shouldn’t have imposed such a demanding schedule. As for the claim about a janitor making $50 an hour (which IS NOT TRUE), the reality is that these plants are so understaffed that the janitor often ends up driving the engine that unloads grain, or being scheduled as a conductor or panel operator. Why belittle the role of a janitor? Many janitorial companies in the Lower Mainland charge more than $50 per hour for residential cleaning. Raising this point doesn’t support his argument; it just shows how out of touch he is. This technocratic elitist fails to grasp that blue-collar wages have not kept pace with the inflation caused by the government’s fiscal policies. Workers are simply trying to get back to a financial position where they can afford basic things like going camping, enrolling their kids in sports, and covering the gas and insurance to get to work. Finally, he demonstrates some misunderstanding by referring to the collective bargaining process as “a transfer of wealth.” That’s inaccurate-it’s a socialist concept, typically involving the government forcing wealthy individuals or corporations to give up money, which is then redistributed to those who haven’t earned it. These workers earn their wages; they’re not working for free. Is that what he’s suggesting? I doubt it. He should be more cautious when speaking on such topics, especially when using terms from cultural debates that he doesn’t fully understand. This is a blatant misrepresentation by someone attempting to belittle hard working blue-collar employees. The individual making these claims is deliberately distorting the facts for his small audience. This kind of dishonesty will ultimately cost their side the argument.
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ great video, really enjoyed the video ❤I’m not into soil❤, I don’t have a farm also I don’t grow any crops ❤but I really enjoyed the topic and your guests they are knowledgeable and articulate speaking ❤I like it when they explain what they’re talking about the abbreviations❤ I would really like to attend or the next video it’s fascinating ❤
Now China is getting Canola from different sources. Russia next year, and Brazil. They may never buy Canadian canola again. Canada lets Tesla ship cars from China at only 9% duty. Have to suck to USA. By following USA so much, since USA is in decline, Canada will soon be in decline. You won't be able to expect China to buy much of our exports, so too bad.
I appreciate your efforts! 🙏 I’ve got a question: 🤨 I only have these words 🤔. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). I don't know what they are. What should I do with them? 🤷♀️
As they say Duh. Nothing good will come of any nation that befriend the US. Sadly the citizens woll suffer. Just ask Australia with their Aukus deal. And their following the US biting China, the hands that feed them😂😂😂
How is it not overcapacity when a country is exporting 2/3rd of its production? Its one thing to stand up against the Communist chinese, but overproduction is overproduction.
Australia tried to be anti China at least 60 times with 'anti dumping' and other questionable trade refusals. Canada is doing the same with tariffs. The retaliation by China on Australia's beef, wine, lobster, and timber was a 20 Billion AUD hit. With negotiation it's been settled. Why would Canada be so stupid as to start a trade war?

I have a question for Pete, do you not have issues with the Frit Fly (Oscinella Frit), or WSMV and the wheat curl mite? I saw a 80% yield reduction this year after a widespread WSMV infection. I'm on the other side of the world but last couple of years November planted crops yield better than October planted crops, when 15-20 years ago the best yields were with September planted crops.
So, in order to get licensed and start a business, one has to work for another business first? Why would that other business hire a potential competitor? Serious question. It sounds like a racket to me.
food plotter in northeast mi. I used a chicken manure based fertilizer at planting and its shocking how much better it looks compared to the past years without fert. wheat Pete needs to put out some food plot videos. :)
Really clear, excellent video. Everyone should watch, and then write a letter. Important to emphasize that there are alternate sites. Can't be overemphasized.
wow just amazing to me that you plant 3 inches deep! Even half that depth just destroys our yields here on irrigated ground in idaho. It's all about meeting the moisture here. We irrigate and plant into the best moisture possible, which hopefully allows us to plant so that seed is just barely covered...1/4 inch or even less. The shallower the better.....as long as we can maintain enough moisture to germinate the seed. I'm hoping we can crack 200 bushels per acre next year.
I see the same thing on dry land ground in north dakota clay loam. Dad would always chase the moisture down 2” plus and the stand reduction was just terrible. I plant it 1/2 - 3/4 in every year now, regardless of moisture and have the highest germ, most even stand most yield we have ever had. Talking spring wheat here tho.
Listened to the experts a few years ago. Planted inch and half here. Terrible stand and yield on heavier ground. Here shallower the better except on best drained ground
Is winterkill and lodging an issues in your areas? Frost heaving/winter kill especially and lodging issues with shallow planting here in Ontario (where wheat Pete is). 1" is minimum here for that reason
@@joshnasielski Yes to winterkill and lodging. I really don't know how you guys can plant so deep, but I suspect it is because you don't get the regular moisture to maintain that shallow depth.
Infuriating. So glad all this technology is "saving" the environment. Hard to give this news a "thumbs up" even though the reporting is important/good.
