The guy who works for the arch seemed very uncomfortable in that capsule. I couldn't work there because I would never get inside that claustrophobic capsule.
“We started going up, inside the Arch. I’d never been in an elevator that went in a curve, and my stomach wasn’t too happy about it.” -Percy Jackson, Book One: The Lightning Thief
An elevator that goes up at an angle. How weird. I’ve been past it many times traveling with my family growing up, but we never stopped at it. Maybe someday.
Ha! Thanks for the good memory! I was in this hotel in summer of 1984 when I was 13. It was a Radisson then. Van Halen just happened to be staying there too... they played the Checker Dome on their 1984 tour. I got to hit a beach ball with David Lee Roth in the pool when I was 13... a memory I'll never forget. Also, my Mom asked security "what's a Van Halen?" (I love my Mom dearly)
I went to St. Louis last weekend and went up this elevator. It's VERY condensed so anyone with claustrophobia should not ride it. The top though is AMAZING
Afraid of fire? That sounds like an attention getting kinda girl. Similar to my sons new young white girlfriend from northern Michigan,... She is a "Vegan Buddist"... lol... WTF, she's only 17. What a sure way to stand out, just become a vegan buddist... lol
