To reduce issues with interference. We install AIS, VHF, 2 METER, RADAR, XM and so on on the roofs, this is just clean and works great. I've had 0 issues in 20 years installing them there.
@@Selkirkmarine Understood - was more curious of the why. I've always installed them on the roof because up near the bow if using an anchor its just another thing to accidentally hit. 🙂 BTW, nice video of the Coastal and the rigging.
250’s by request is no problem. Nothing changes. The 200’s are the best overall fuel/performance. No lack of power or punch. 250’s have mad torque. Mid and lower but the 200’s on this boat are no slouches either.
Yeah.. we agree. They were supposed to be relocated but Jon just realized they were back in that old location so we’re shifting it. If you have a boat with it there send an email to CS@RaiderBoats.com and they can get a cover plate sent to cover those holes and relocate that switch.
@@Selkirkmarine thanks for the fast response but when I look at the Bentley website, I see nothing remotely like that seat… for starters, not one of their models has a bolster?
Thank you for the detailed overview. Nice Size, able to trailer (single axle) taking from lakes to rivers. Love Raider boats, like an SUV on the water. Whats the relation to Hewescraft?
I make around $150k a year and for about 10 minutes I felt good about that but I guess id need to be a millionaire to own a boat like this. It’s sad really
Thank you for the tour and detailed description. Great looking boat, ideal for the rocky shores of Minnesota's rivers and 10,000 lakes. 🤔Livewell or beer/wine/champagne chiller?
Aluminum boats will be tinny but if someone is concerned for sound, which isn't a complaint we get. We can add sound deadening paneling to the hull and other places to reduce mechanical noise and when you have people in the boat and it's on the water you will have natural acoustic sound deadening happening. All that being said, he's also wearing a microphone made to pickup on sound so you can hear him without him talking into the mic, this will level off the decibel input into the mic with local noise.
Thanks for the response. You have a really nice little boat there, that will do what it was designed to do. Very well thought out. Nice to know that there are noise control options.
It was sold but financing fell through. We’ve yet to re-list it, it’s been great to show for ordered units. If you’re interested fire an email to Sales@SelkirkMarine.com
What a beauty. I would never come home. What else do you need? I’m with ya on having a great stereo. It’s almost better than my 2001 StarCraft superfisherman!
no one steps there or accesses that point, it won't be disrupted by radar or any other signals and we've been doing those installs in that position for years with zero problems. But if a customer wants it on the roof that's not a problem at all.
I like this setup alot. Except is there an option for a flushing head? I really like the larger fishing deck and smaller cabin. Don't know how much I would actually camp on my fishing boat. Especially with a need for multiple sleeping. I can't imagine not having a toilet though. Good fishing is about long days and plenty of food.
We can do a standup enclosure or one in a seat box. A lot of people also just do a porta potty. whatever you want. The Standup head lengthens the cabin about 16" so there is a slight loss of space on the back deck.
Andy.. the professional behavior of a competitive member of the industry would be best suited. Besides, not only have I owned a silver streak, I've ran many, all forward helm boats benefit from suspension seats. Nice boats, I won't follow suit with how you approached this professionally as it was distasteful.
Hey,so very sorry about this, I think one of my buddies must have toyed with my phone, goofing around. I'm not much of an app guy or RU-vid user either. Again my apologies, best to work together for sure . Hope you are having a great year!@@Selkirkmarine
Yeah we do them between the consoles or in the bench seats. Larger boats we do them in the same locations or a standup enclosure or forward in the V-Birth. Lots of options!
I think this is the first boat I have seen with a proper bait tank in it. Is there any filtration? Can it be made bigger and have specific "secrets" added to it?
