Like how are we to know?? I love how you mention the "I knew he was like this" and "it's not my fave". Like, how do they actually know this? Are the people who say this actually psychic?? But to tell you the truth, with what's been coming out in SK for the last few years as I have been following more closely at what happens, I wasn't as shocked as I thought I would be, which makes me sad. This is not purely about him, but Korean men in general. We see over and over and over again all these reports of DV, and how it's getting worse. It's cultural, and this is purely the view that Korean men have grown up with, and a government that doesn't give shits ass about it. I see the kpop industry as an iceberg; meaning you only see what they want us to see, which is maybe 10%. They are trained in how to speak and appear for fans. We do not really know these people. I'm not saying EVERY idol or Korean man is like this, but we do not know what happens behind closed doors, and people seem to forget this because they are so bedazzled. They are not your friends, and like you said, they are a product of the industry.

As someone whose main KPOP ULT is Jongho, I also watched that ranking video you're talking about. Let me say, the blood was boiling hot! And I've watched a couple of ranking vids and it seems the majority feel the same which is so infuriating. They dont deserve our baby bear's sweet and talented voice! Also, not me searching for that sorting vid so i can see for myself the audacity of that person. 😅
People were saying that SM is most likely waiting for his contract to be over so they won't have to pay him out for breaking it early. I hope that's the case and we see SM cut all ties with him. I don't know if they'll decide to rerecord songs, especially since their discography is already so large, but I hope they do. I haven't been able to listen to any songs he's in. It feels so wrong and gross to do so. I can't say I was too attached to him (not sure if that would be the right word). For me it felt like he just came to do his job and only through the members, haechan and johnny especially, did I get to know more about who he was as a person. I guess the more correct way would be, how his members saw him as a person. It was easy to see that they absolutely adored him. I just don't understand how someone could be so selfish and egotistical. Seeing the airport pictures of Mark and Haechan, as well as the other 127 boys, was absolutely heartbreaking. (Also the crazy stalkers not letting them have any privacy whatsoever is incredibly infuriating) They're going to have to continue to face fans and the public while he just skates on by. That man has caused so much harm. I hope he stubs his toe every day for the rest of his miserable life. May the victim get the help and justice they deserve. May Korean women get the help and justice they deserve.
I think it’s ironic that Korea “cares” so much about bullying but be the main ones bullying idols… International fans are no better, they get on Koreans when it comes to that but are also bullies too.
How dare he ,Jongho's song, like I love ballads (like be with you is one of my top favorite Ateez songs) but like I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but to be below intros. Also I stopped watching reactions and ranking videos because it seemed disingenuous. I am with you I am protective of my baby bear. For me to see that the crime that ( he who shall not be named ) was so horrible and the fact that I have not seen any thing really on Korean media just shows me their priorities because the news of yoongi (from bts ) riding a scooter after having a few drinks was all over Korean media while I haven’t seen anything about (he who shall not be named) anywhere really shows me what really matters to them and it’s just so sad because before I am a k-pop Stan I am a woman and as a woman I feel like this should be reported on more and there should be more done to prevent this from happening but there isn’t and that makes me sooo sad and upset
