From the parking area it is 6-7 miles to the top. It took me about 3.5 hours to get to the top up at robins lake. I use the AllTrails app for doing my research on hikes and to check current conditions. Tuck and Robin Lakes on AllTrails www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/tuck-and-robin-lakes?sh=ly7ami
Thanks for the video! I plan on doing this hike this june to catch that sweet spot when it's flowing like this. Did you happen to check out chambers creek falls as well? I know it's close was gonna try and do a 2 for 1. Thanks again
Great video! I hiked to Muir 14 days ago. Probably 3 1/2 miles of the 4 mile trek was under snow just a few days ago. Long slog! Nice to see most of the trail below Pebble Creek is clear now. Keep up the good work.
No, just hiked up to check the lake out. The campsites I did see while I was there had snow on them and I did see a bear wire that a tree had knocked down. Snow started at about the 3700 foot elevation and covered about 90% of the rest of the trail to the lake.
That’s a yes no sort of answer. There is no clear trail however if you stay next to the creek you won’t get let lost. I start at the Walupt horse camp and head down the maintained trail for a couple hundred feet til you see a ribbon on the left. Head down that way towards the creek til the second log across the creek. Across the log on the little island head left across a couple logs turn right push your way through some bushes and than across the finally log and now your across the creek and the hike is straight forward at this point. On the other side of the creek the is a semblance of a trail every now and than but the key detail is stay near the creek and follow it down stream it will take you to the falls.
They have recently fixed the first five to six miles of the road. After that Its moderately pot holed with a couple big ones infrequently. Once I turned off the 12 it took me about 45min-1hr to get to the trailhead in my truck. The roads were passable in a car but you would just need to be more careful
I've never been to this trail before but I've been considering it while waiting for the snow to melt out. Would you consider it worth it to go beyond the false summit to the true summit?
The true summit has a spectacular 360° however you can still get an amazing views around the false summit. I did enjoy the adventure to the true summit but it is not necessary if you don’t mind non-360° views
