I own a ironhead 1200 hardtail homie cheated used a key I have kick start only on Cold day Make sure the prime it kick usually between 1 and 3 kicks and it's up and runningp
Working on a 75 now looks like I'll be welding tabs on there was a partial outer primary that was cut up for a rubber belt primary instead of the chain but I'm going back with the chain so I'd either have to hunt for the outer primary with the table or weld something on the. Frame
Thanks. Yep if you can get original FLH outer then you will have that mounting point . But if You get aftermarket without the "table" then You just wend on frame like I did. Good luck
@@Roolis77 yeah I just ended up doing that on the right hand side for now I put it up in a video on my channel a little bit ago I wasn't sure if the table went not the welded table but the s-shaped table goes on the top of the welded table or goes underneath the welded table that's what I was trying to find a picture on the internet and I cannot .. right now I have it on top of the welded tab
@@MoeLarrycurly1 in my video it is beneath.... , but at this moment I bolted on top because this way I liked more the angle of the board. so you can do both ways . I undertand it does not help you. For me it was easy because I had atleast 1 original from factory . But since you have both tabs removed by previous owner, then You will have just experiment . If You wish I can go and make very precise pic of original tab on right hand and send you info by email.
With the pull start, you need to have a good relay to do the job correctly. If not it will melt. And the battery very well in shape with at least 12.8 or more voltage in it. I have partialy burn the electric with a battery too low in voltage, so all the ampéres are all coming together and that burn all.
Merci!! Yes I bought a special relay which goes in kit with this hand shifter. Thanks for info, will check my bat to be in good shape! Thanks for watching my bull sh..tn😃
Appreciate your good word! hope you will have patience to wait until I will finish swing arm springer chopper . My back was damaged on this rigid frame on our poor roads so I decided to make swing arm drop seat looong chopp :)
yes agree those were times when we were hunting for slow potato sounds .. not anymore because now I need to fix engines and understand the importance of oil flows :)
Thanks, I was inspired by Captain America. But tank now got different skin. You can see it in my other videos . Appreciate for watching and commenting!
I have such feeling that there is no enough space for the seat, and that's why you lifted it little high🤔 I don't know I am not an engineer or designer, just thinking🤔 It should look right ☝️ But you are master☝️You always can say ,- it is exactly how I wanted to make ☝️😀
Honestly, when I’m drunk and walk back home, sometimes I start this video to just listen to this engine, my wife can’t beat this. I know it’s running a bit to fast idle but fuck what a nice noise is coming through those pipes.
Don’t hammer em cold in cold weather. Yeah we know cold dense air makes em run like they are supercharged but that first backfire tells you you’ve gaulded a valve stem, just as well pop the heads install new guides and valves, and let her idle while you chug a sud or do a coffee, then bust out !
It's so confused I'm 58 years old and I've been riding bikes since my late my early late teens And I'm still trying to figure out what in the world it is it makes all you jackasses with electric start bikes wanna brag Is about your cold start when your kicks start in that son of a bitch and it's 20゚ outside and you can see the snow stacked up 2 to 3' deep around you then brag about your fucking cold start other than that fuck it keep your mouth shut
Good job bro! Waiting to see the struts! One thing, could you please film it in landscape, not a portrait format, i believe all your followers would appreciate that! Good luck, and remember, we are watching you :)
You should look into foam board insulation and consider hanging it from the bottom of your roof trusses.. it'll insulate and hold the heat down low, plus it'll do the opposite in the summer it'll keep the heat from the sun on your roof from making your shop too hot.. if you throw some plywood or osb up there you can use the space above as cold storage too..
Thanks for hint! I was thinking to spray with polyurethane foam, because dont like low ceiling .. this way I can use open constructions for storing stuff and I see what is where .. But you are right most effective would be to just close the ceiling with isolation .
Fixed my welding machine today. made majority of weld , but some weld places were bubbling and I could not understand why, so now watching videos how to weld .. outside minus 22 C, Inside minus 2... Thanks fro watching
@@Roolis77 are you using flux core wire or are you using a shielding gas like argon? If your using a shielding gas your tank maybe empty, allowing contaminates into the weld.. That being said i don't know if you have a mig, tig or a stick welder..
@@jtmarshall Thanks JT Marshall, I am using TIG. Checked yesterday some welding videos. Seems you are correct it might be too little gas .. majority of welds are ok, but few places were bubbled . Will play with more gas flow today! Thanks
Sweet build.. gotta love a sporty chopper.. I'm building a 1996 which is technically a"bobber" since I didn't cut and rake the neck.. I got a video of it from like 8 months ago, I gotta film an update video after I install the new parts I have on the way..
Happy New Year! Wow! That's a great custom video. I think it'll look cool when the bike's complete. I'm glad to be a friend of your great channel. 👍🤝🤝🤝🤙👌
Nice bike...Could you possibly tell me what battery you are running? I want to relocate mine to the same location also but it seems a bit large. I have a 76 Ironhead as well. Thanks.
Hello , Thanks for watching! my battery is in cm: 8,5x17Wx15 H , its 21 ah. But I have so much space down below that I can easily fit as big as 10x20Wx18H. I have bolt on hardtail , where bottom rails are bolted and top rails are welded . I bought this hard tail kit in US for 160 usd if I am not mistaken on ebay.
I understand nothing about all this engineering problems, BUT why everybody chasing after small fuel tank🤔 I would hate to stop every five km. To fill up a small box ,which you call tank🤠 Come on, be a man, make something radical new💪
Thanks for watching and comment! Its more about what the builder thinks is better looking rather what what is more convenient to ride. For lang hauls there are different bikes . On other hand I never drive more than 100km without stopping for a break. I think I can live with that. :) Thanks mate!
@@Roolis77 totally agree with you man.. My 96 has a 2.5 gallon flat bottom Frisco tank, I freakin love it.. Keeps the bike looking narrow, it also shows off the cylinder heads/ engine more..
