Three women coming together to share a life changing journey and walk the Camino de Santiago. It’s the same path chronicled in the movie The Way starring Martin Sheen. Here we share our experiences from prep and training all the way through our journey from France to Spain. We’ll end in Santiago de Compostela almost a month later. Come journey with us! #caminodesantiago #hiking #pilgrimage
Just a small request - could you hold the phone side on - and thus shoot in landscape - it will make for a better upload. Best wishes for your pilgrimage.
Ladies..seriously? just google Camino de Santiago info lol will give you many many tips on what to carry/pack ..what not to carry...about the weight of your pack...taking bus or taxi if need be at diff., points on the trail (not over the Pyreenes)..haha..sending things ahead somehow..or if have to unload weight ....donating stuff or mailing it back home...just sayin! good luck. God Bless
I don't profess to be an expert but I've done a bunch of hiking. Poles surely do help. They will save your knees going down hill. I prefer collapsible as opposed to foldable. REI has lots of them. REI also has a video about the correct length to set your poles to, if you're unsure. Pack everything then cut it all in half. Don't scrimp on socks. A new pair of socks (not just clean) after several days can be such a joy. Well broken in boots and a pair of sturdy sneakers. If you don't have one already, get a pack that can take a bladder (nothing to do with the she-wee!). Carrying your water on your back, close to your body, is much more ergonomic than water bottles in the outside pockets of your pack, though you'll probably need both, and you can drink while you're walking. Get a good fitting pack with a chest strap and a comfortable hip belt. You're going to be living in it. "Second Skin" made by Spenco is a great treatment for foot problems. Also a pair of gel insoles are light weight and could be a welcome relief after a few days. I could go on and on but I KNOW you have researched this. Which route are you doing?
definitely needed and make sure you bring rubber tips unless you want to annoy the hell out of people while having them march to the beat of your walking sticks...or the sound of the sticks being dragged all the way through compostela
I think for RU-vid you need to record in landscape? So that your video fills the screen. Most people will agree, hiking poles are a necessity! Like your work so far! :)
