Thats a lovely lake when it fishes well but they seem to just disappear without much reason , keep the videos coming wesley as they are very enjoyable.
I fished that lake a few times some years ago and did incredibly well fishing 6mm bread punch with a dead read maggot as a boillie stop, I fed white crumb and fished a 12 inch hooklink on the tip. Most times I didn't get the rod back in the rest before a bream took it. If I said I caught 50 bream I'm being conservative and all 3 trips were similar and I caused a couple of pole anglers to pack up 😅. I'm no freshwater match angler Wesley but those tactics in that part of the lake ie 3ft were deadly and rapid. I may have slightly broken the rules on quantity of grounbait used though lol. Nice video as always mate.
@wesleyshrubsole3531 I managed to beat him once at the back of Sandgate Castle many years ago, I rate that above more profitable wins. We are lucky we had someone like Alan to fish against. Well done again mate good angling and a great videos.
Very true mate winner had 15lbs second 14lbs third 12lbs me fourth, they all had "netters" probably about the same amount of fish though me fifth overall in Willing cup, never won the bugger!
My favourite stretch of the canal. I have had 3 different 20+ pike from that stretch including a 28. I lost a huge perch there too that was easily over 3. Proper wild fishing with that element of the unknown and sometimes lions roaring 😊 Nice video Wesley.
@@wesleyshrubsole3531 I always found that you had to be on them so to speak or it was just little jacks. They were always somewhere between the bomb hole and the west Hythe dam. It was those big perch that always seemed to elude me that I really wanted to catch.
@@wesleyshrubsole3531 oh well done mate, just shows a couple more big wish could have made you the leg winner. Thanks for keeping me updated, really enjoying your channel
Add some liquidised fishy cat food to the worms, it smells repulsive but the eels go absolutely mad on it. I guarantee you won't forget that mate lol. Nice video Wesley.
