Incredible, chilling performance by Max Howarth. Definitely the peak of Warframe before they began releasing Pander Prime. I don't know how Digital Extremes knows this, but this idea of hybridized humans turning mad and being opened up to demonic possession (or in WF's case, "Tenno possession") is not new. It is arcane (and it shouldn't be), but basically, this is what various Apocryphal books state about the ancient world. Because of what the "gods" (fallen angels) knew about genetics, many people became hybridized with animals (hence, the origins of satyrs, minotaurs, centuars, etc.). As a result, such creatures were insane, ferocious, and empty *vessels* (note that WF uses that terminology too) that could host demonic spirits.
3:27 "We had created monsters we couldn't control. We drugged them, tortured them, eviscerated them... We brutalized their minds... but it did not work. Until they came. And it was not their force of will- not their Void devilry- not their alien darkness... it was something else. It was that somehow, from within the derelict horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing- and take away its pain." I don't know why, but that dialogue from Ballas *ALWAYS* hits hard. I've done up to the Duviri Paradox myself, but even then... this quest is still one of the best ones. *The Sacrifice.*
We took our greatest, volunteers and not and polluted them with these cultured reagents, they transformed they became infested. But only just thair skin blossomed into sword-steel, thair organ interlinked with untold resilient yet thair minds were free of infested madness or so we thought It's hard to Imagine the pain of those people when thair infested flesh turns to be metal 🙂
I'm fairly certain either Yenna or Grub were supposed to be a shapeshifted Orin, but Larian, as always, didn't see it through because of... priorities. Gotta add more gay bearfucking first.
You can talk to one cat outside sorcerous sundries and tell it to go comfort the owner of the apothecary who lost her husband in the underdark in act 1
If he was really like a cat he would have kept hinting he wants pets through the rest of the conversation and then run away when you try. Then come back.
I feel like the message of Warframe is to simply understand one another and see past what we see as "ugly" what we hate or dislike or don't fully understand.
The most unrealistic thing about this is that he doesn't run away immediatly if you are within 10 metres of him and not making a certain sound, or is mauling your face with how close he is.
My friend was dead and I was near death. I was on the last cube as I turned around to see one rolling its last step before crushing me. Then they all disappeared. My dog killed the last one ❤ Surprised it didn’t become a pancake by the 15th hour of this boss fight 😂 also I agree with you and your video 100%
The amount of player choice and agency this game gives you is wonderful. You could spend hours talking to animals and not feel like you wasted your time. So I picked up the cat and threw it at Yenna for science.
@@takealilpill347 Cat technically died but is considered still alive when talking to Yenna, Yenna does not become hostile or run from camp. When you enter a new area with a new camp they are both reset. As a sidenote, we died laughing doing this so make of that what you will.
I've seen games where you can pet cats. I've seen games where you can't pet cats, because the option is not there. But I've never seen a game where a cat tells you not to pet it.
