For anyone who wants to play through more lost levels, you can also change the value of 0760:?? to play a different level or 075F:?? to play a different world. The codes are surprisingly more simple than the original Super Mario Bros game on the NES. (Not all worlds work from what it seems.)
btw spending extra lives is another way to slow down the slowrun I mean, you have to not only play as slow as possible, but also get as many coins and 1ups as possible and then timeup on all gained lives on 8-4
@Kosmicd12 it's really cool I'll still always think of you as Mr.Mario because of the amount of content made solely on Mario speedruns you are to Mario speedrunning what Karl jobst is to exposing cheaters in speedrunning
{Touri} Touri would like to note that Black Pakkun are *usually* those kinda turnip-y looking ones that were in 3 and just sit there and be invincible… not… these things.
As much as i have praised vertic for being "too good" at sm63, he's really no different from all the other legends who have been the very best at their respective game at a point in time. To us, he seemed a lot like niftski, but that was only in his early days (aka 2019). This implies slowing down in early 2020, which is true. I think the best example of this is with red ball. Neither have RB1 as their main speedgame, but it's crystal clear what's going on here, and it's exactly what you'd expect!
I understood how subspeed affects things, and how volatile it is, and how we freeze it. But what I didn't understand is how do we know how to freeze it at a good value? Is it a matter of trial and error plus consistency making it repeatable? The setups for subpixel make sense, but how do you setup for knowing when to let go of buttons in midair?!
Seeing all of that work put into the Plant and the BB only to find out not doing the Fast Excel makes everything way easier is just such a speedrunner thing to see.
Mario Bros does NOT run at 60 Frames per second, because 1 frame is drawn for every 2 passes. 60 hertz stands for 60 drawing passes per second with 2 blank clear passes. ;)
@@Kosmicd12 No, it does not, and I just lost an entire post explaining how you're confusing NTSC Cycles, Completed Frames, and NES Processing Cycles. But apparently because I posted a goddamned link it got eaten up by youtube's auto mod and it got deleted.
l needed to press A+START on title screen after play tennis without turn off the nes when you remove the game it glitched out press the reset to start new game
POV: It's 2047. You just managed to link to the last remaining RU-vid server in the world. It took twelve hours to patch the generator and find enough fuel to boot up the datacenter for 10 minutes. Three people died fighting the zombie hordes outside, and you're losing a lot of blood. As you download the last video mankind will ever watch, you lay back and whisper: "Worth it."
