Just acquired a used example unworn. The watch on the Panerai site has just Panerai on the dial not LIMINOR PANERAI Why is this ? Lovely watch. I wear a Rolex Sub date but to be frank I’m dismayed with Rolex and it’s supply issues and prefer the unique look of the panerai

Being a former machinist I will make it easy for you. When you look at the hands there should a slight radius from the outside edge to the center of it and not flat looking like a stamping which has no rise as that can't be done on a stamping machine. I have a Jaeger-LeCoultre Tourbillon and the milling on the hands is exquisite as befits a $75,000 watch. Then I have a Boucherer Big date where the hands are obviously stamped and for a $10,000 watch that is unacceptable in my books. If you were to put the two of them side by side the difference in workmanship is so obvious it cries out in comparison.
Holding three watches in the palm of one hand, letting them touch, is ABUSE = SCRATCHING THEM. It necessarily makes marks on the points of contact.
