Hi! Have you sold your Wheel Horse yet? If you have not, I'm interested to buy it. The problem is, I live in Sweden, so I think it will be expencive to ship it? Sincerely/ Mats
That is awesome. Thank you! For your time, energy, and expertise to get her up and rolling again. Now I just need to find another 1400 to build up. Thank you again!
Man that is a great deal for $500. All the ones I have i paid $500 as well. This weekend I got two. A working 24 with a back grader blade $500. + a blown engine ff/18 with spare engine, front and rear PTO and the super rare, 3 Point finishing mower. I did have to pay a bit extra for that one. $600 LOl
It's nice to see all the interest coming back about the SUPER GT'S, I bought a really nicely restored 982 back in 2000, paid WAY too much for it but the tractor has been really reliable, now has anyone had decent luck with their ONAN? So many absolutely dumb engineering decisions made on that engine. Gee, lets put the points & condensor INSIDE the crankcase where they get sprayed with oil vapor while running and the contact points arc and burn out every 20-30 running hours. I had to replace points & cond every 12 to 15 hours, and CUMMINS taking over Onan parts is just a money grab by Onan, I've ordered from a place up in Minneapolis for $40-$50 for the points & cond. And 15 running hours later do it all over again. I'm going to install one of Dave KIRK'S points eliminators. I bought a Cub Cadet Tank LZ 54 10 years ago, 350 hours on it, I've replaced a set of blades and the outer all cleaner element 3 times, It burns about HALF the gas the B-48G does and mows my 2+ acres in about half the time. Thing I get the most use out of my 982 doing is pulling my PRONOVOST tandem axle hyd dump cart, I can load up 3000# of dirt, rock, tree branches and easily dump them exactly where I want with my aux hyd valve. I run a drawbar on my 3-point so I can raise/lower the hitch, helps empty the trailer. I've looked the tandem axle dump trailers Blain's Farm & Fleet are selling, I forget the name, but it's an exact copy of my Pronovost. I only wish I could buy a bigger cart to pull with my FARMALL M or SUPER H. Pronovost makes up to 15,000# or 20,000# cap, my little cart is 3000# rated but I've exceeded that many times.
Nice find, like those 400 series machines. First one I've seen with a loader. Does the loader have an aux. pump or powered from the hydro? That seat appears to be from a Duetz-Allis rear steer, front deck rider called a Vanguard.
I have one myself, The FF24 is a work horse, you did really good on that buy. I took mine down to nothing and Soda blasted it and painted everything. I just got the motor back in the tractor That motor is one tuff-built motor, you can get parts with no problem, If you are looking to sell that P.T.O I would buy it, I have that shaft there that is broken, I have the rear backhoe and the front blade for mine. This tractor never fails me on my orange farm here in Northwest Fla, Buy Spring harvest mine will be going nonstop.
