Because of copyright issues, it's becoming very hard to judge what might be safe to upload. I don't want to see people stop uploading obscure tracks as I think they are much appreciated by people that otherwise would not be able to hear or sample it. Just as an example, I often receive thanks from family members who are unable to listen to long lost recordings by deceased family members. In many cases they don't even have a copy of the songs I uploaded. We, as collectors and music historians, cannot allow these rare recordings to be lost to time and obscurity. So I will continue to do my best and try to avoid copyright infringement while I continue on my quest to rescue these lost tracks. If I upload something that belongs to you and you want it removed please ask me and I will be happy to comply. You also have the option of monetizing it so it can continue to be enjoyed by others. If channels like mine are removed from RU-vid we will all lose an important part of our past. Thank you.
“We left SAN PEEEDRO!” This version knows the actual territory. I did one summer school session at San Peeeedro High School. “And the Cadillac pulled over to let me by.” I drove from San Peeedro to Grapevine when the road was just 2 lanes and had 55 gallon barrels full of water along the side of the road to refill steaming radiators. My father’s Model A was a 1931-1 ton-flatbed 4-banger with duelies. My mother’s car was a ‘46 Cadillac 7-passenger limo with a V-12. I drove a Ford Interceptor V-8 105mph on the way to Barstow. This song is personally irresistible!
When this record was made, Crouse-Hinds Company was still manufacturing spotlights and searchlights for ships, law enforcement, and Le France firetrucks. They later expanded.
@@buriedinvinyl That sucks. I do find this to be quite an oddball ameteur kinda 45.. I found another copy online.. I suppose I'll get that one if you don't own this copy anymore
I loved this song as a kid but could never find it. So I made a version of it myself (I'm not a musician). This is all I could remember from 60 years ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uctQQjOnoQ0.htmlsi=Eomn0JFlm0hAohpr
Great Music. Just one of the many quality bands from Central NY back in the 70's. There was RCA recording artists Jukin' Bone featuring Joe Whiting and Mark Doyle, The Dean Brothers, Elf featuring Ronnie James Dio, Brandywine(Wind) and the Velcro's. It was an awesome time for live Rock n' Roll music during the Disco era. I apologize to any of the bands that I've forgotten to mention.
Though if the singer has a TV, given their expense at the time, they'd certainly have a pot and a stove in which to put a chicken. Still, another clever ditty by Carson Robison.
I worked in radio in the 90s and used to play a jingle very similar to the 2nd one, would anyone know what it was called? I've been searching for it for 10 years+ lol
Thanks heaps. I can't even find this on Spotify. I just heard it on the radio, SMS and emailed the 3RRR radio station in Melbourne and he gave me the name. You were the only place I found it! Big thanks. I want to make a painting with this in the background, so cool
The perfect musical interpretation of Richard Matheson's masterpiece story. This is the ONLY place (other than the film) where I can feast my ears on Ray Anthony's trumpet!
Its been about 10 years ago, or so, but THE Hot Rod Lincoln was auctioned off at the January Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ. I had the pleasure of checking it out for a while, and remember it well. FIRST: It had a Lincoln Zephyr V12 flathead engine, 2). it was based on the Lincoln Zephyr frame, shortened so as to accommodate a Ford Model A coupe body. 3). It sold for $105,000 plus 8% buyers fee, and the buyer was a young man of around 28 (+/-) years of age. He went berserk when he got the car for only $105K, and now he brings it to parades in his area, and couldn't be prouder if he was driving a million dollar Duesenberg. NOW: There are various versions of this song, by others than Charly Ryan. For some reason they all say, "Its got 8 cylinders and uses 'em all." I don't know why they changed from "12 cylinders" to "8 cylinders" but this song with Charly Ryan is the correct one. To repeat, the actual car has a Lincoln Zephyr V12 flathead engine. It does have a "4 barrel carb" as adapted to the original intake manifold.
Reminds me of a neighbor I had growing up. He had a massive four-manual Hammond organ in his living room with two Leslie speakers. When he played, half the neighborhood listened!
