Our Channel is dedicated to self sufficiency , allotment gardening, growing food keeping bees and producing honey, we also do cooking baking & home brewing
Hey mate, your channel just ended up in my feed and im all about learning from new people. I had to turn off the video because of the excruciating wind noise at 20 seconds in. You've got to deal with that with a dead cat mic cover or lapel mic with cover or just film in calmer conditions. Keep gardening and enjoy those tomatoes!
Thanks mate, yes I noticed that when editing I have a lapel mic on the way from Amazon hopefully that will help I'm currently using a Rode shot gum mic with my canon eos M3.
A very wet Tony and Teddy 😮. My patty pan were no where near as prolific as yours but I do have one left with 2 hanging on so 🙏. Hope it stops raining for you soon, we finally got our rain but we are quite happy with it 🤭🤭 for now. Happy growing, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦
Mine have done wonderfully this year, I have a third plant too that I didn't show in the video, yes it's meant to rain tomorrow too but at least my water buts are getting filled up lol
Oh my word that’s huge!! 😂🎉 That’s amazing. I’ve got to find some cow poOp! 😮 I literally just started mine two weeks ago to avoid the boarer. So far They are banging for how young they are. I did use rabbit poOp so we shall see. 😊 Btw Teddy cracks me up. He must think you’re talking to yourself when you’re talking to the camera. lol 🐶💓
I know bless him lol, I actually planted some late summer squash, a variety called patypan they are doing really well, i will probably do a video on them soon.
@@TonyandTeddysWorld He’s just letting you know he loves you even if you do. lol Have never grown or eaten them but have wanted to. Maybe next spring. I’m planting seeds and shouldn’t be since we are selling. It’s too hard not to tho. lol 👍👍
@@jenniferm3572 I did exactly the same last year, I knew I was moving but I still planted seeds, I gave away about 10 tomato plants because I couldn't take them with me, I also told one of the guys where my potatoes and squash were planted so he could harvest them lol. And yes little Teddy is my side kick he wants to be involved in everything except Beekeeping because he doesn't like bees and they don't like him lol
@@TonyandTeddysWorld Yep! lol. That’ll be me, too. I want them to know for sure where they can find food. Maybe a map will be in order. Although there will be a disclosure with a list of a number of perennials I will be removing. Not all of them but a small portion. My husband will be thrilled at the amount of potted plants going with us. (Sarcasm) 😬😅💃✋🤓
Is that her at 2:05 bottom right corner of the extended comb outside of frame. Zoom in at least 4x. Would she be a little lighter in color since she just emerged?? I think that’s her! 🤞
i guess the smaller mixing container would be if you only wanted to top it up rather than do a full tank. obviously you'd want to do a full tank when you first unbox it. Thinking of getting my first petrol device (brush cutter/strimmer) sometime soon your vid very helpful in that respect, many thanks.
I know it is isn't it lol, I have no idea what I will see next inspection will I have one queen or 2 and will the new queen get mated ok in the middle of September, it will definitely be interesting to see.
@@TonyandTeddysWorld holy crap that’s cold! It’s supposed to be 89 here on Wednesday. lol They are truly such a fascinating creation. Can’t wait to see how they navigate this. Btw, Two days ago i thought of you and your hive. lol I was outside and a bee was on me and I didn’t know it until I came and felt something walking across the back of my neck. Unfortunately I didn’t know it was a bee as I tried to get it off and she stung me. I’ve wanted to keep bees for a number of years now, have watched a bazillion videos, but have been very apprehensive due to having an auto immune. It hurts like all get out but my body isn’t reacting too badly to it. Each time I’m stung it pushes me just a little closer to getting bees anyway. lol Anyway just thought I’d share 😆 I’ll be here waiting for the update on Wednesday or Thursday! 👍👍
@@jenniferm3572 we use C here so 23 would be about 74 F lol. Well if you get a good tipple layer bee suit some good goat skin gloves then get a strain of Honeybee that is calm like Buckfast it's highly likely you can go without getting stung, I haven't been stung once this year.
Your a good bee 🐝 dad Tony 👍, I remember the other RU-vid Tony got a hive and when he got fed up with them he dumped them in a field and he said he’d be going there regularly to look after them and didn’t, needless to say those poor things all died. I unsubbed from his channel. Gerald makes similar feed for his hummingbirds and they are here all year so he trudges through the snow every hour in winter to change the frozen feeders. Have a super weekend Tony, Ali 🌧️🌞🇨🇦
@@dungeonscronics3191 it's not bad where I am mate, single figures in the winter and we might get a few day's where it drops below Zero, but we do get a lot of wet and wind.
I could do that, I'm going to give her a week or so if I still don't see Worker Brood I might merge them, I could remove the queen and pop a frame of Brood in from the other hive and let the bees make a new queen themselves but I'm not sure she would bet mated this time of year
@@jenniferm3572 well that would be ideal however I really can't see it happening, I've had something similar before and the colony didn't make it through winter, I will probably take another look on Thursday and make a decision before it's too late lol.
@@TonyandTeddysWorld darn. I wonder if she’s stressin because she senses the seasons about to change. Maybe some lavender oil in a sugar water bath is all she needs! 🛀 🐝 🌸 😆lol
Annie had a similar issue with some of here corn and I am sure she said it was blackfly damage. Let’s hope it’s not a disease that could decimate a huge crop 😢😢, Ali ☔️🇨🇦
Hi Tony, it's a fungi caused by damp moist conditions. I think sweet corn should be grown outside, in group's in order for the wind to blow them and help pollinate them. Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing. Hi to Teddy.
Thank you shella, this particular variety of sweetcorn allegedly doesn't need pollination, however after opening one it seems it dose need pollination lol, next year I will be growing it outside, and teddy says hi
