Just ordered this intake for my 2018 civic SI, I am currently running the TSP stage one tune. Do you know by any chance if that tune is safe for me to run with this intake?
What’s up Kyle, I’m no expert about knowing how safe a tune is for these cars. But I can tell you from my expirence so far with the tune and the intake I have had no issues at all to this date. I don’t drive my car hard all the time, so I think that’s play a big factor. I hope that helps at all man.
@@KyleDiF I haven’t made any videos since this one bro, been too busy with life stuff but I can definitely find something to upload in the near future. Appreciate it bro 👌🏽
@@stanc6319 got you, yeah that’s right it’s been a while since I even messed with the car. I just used the standard street size for that same reason them not having a specific one for MAP’s intake. Hopefully in the future they change that.
Just received this same exact intake for my 2020 si! Does this require me to remove the bottom piece of the stock intake (where I have to remove the skid plate) ? Can it fit with that piece still on there?
No it will not fit with that bottom piece of the stock intake. There was a bolt towards the bottom of the stock intake, it’s easiet to get to removing the skid plate, you have to take that off in order to pull out the whole assembly because that’s where the new intake filter will sit.
@@CEC_HDZ no mine has never came on. I would think you could just clean the code with an obd2 scanner or something? As long as it’s not giving you any trouble, you know?
RJ Carter thanks for the feedback RJ, didn’t show top portion of the haircut but basically it’s trimmed down to about 1.5 inches. Relatively on the shorter side for this client. But a #2 would have been also a great alternative.
