I am an artist and art teacher who lives in Northern Virginia. I have been teaching Middle School Art for 17 years along with my husband. I am always learning, exploring, and creating, and I enjoy sharing with others of all ages!
My channel consists of video demos, tutorials, and art displays using various mediums created by myself and my fabulous art students. I hope you find my videos inspirational for your own artistic journey, be it in art education or your own home practice.
Excellent! Attention to craft not only makes better art, it ensures safety as well. This is a fantastic primer for anyone self-teaching relief printing, with some great tips from an educator who knows from doing. And we promise to stop throwing our lino scraps around the office... 😄
Very cool ❣️ Such a great variety. I especially enjoyed seeing the ceramic creations. Lots of talent there throughout all of these projects. The kids must really have fun in your classes.👍😍
I can hardly believe this art has been done by 8th graders. It's sooooo amazing!!! Hats off to the teacher for such creative, relevant assignments! I also noticed what a great environment with supplies for exploration for many different types of art! This district has shown its support of the arts program - appropriate desks that aren't ancient, sinks, pottery wheels, tools to do different types of art and the variety of art supplies. My school's art room did not look like this when I was in school or teaching at 3 sites. Fabulous - every artist, the teacher, and the principal/district. I hope this teacher is highly regarded. She is a gem!!!
Thank you for this comment! Wow - you have certainly made my day! I am printing this out to save for bad days because you are right, I am blessed to teach in a supportive environment with very special, talented students! 🩷 Thank you for recognizing this!!!
We did this in school when I was a kid. But we didn't round out the corners. I'm going to get into this. Just watching this was meditative. Thank you, Bethany Thiele. I am subscribing. :)
Thank you for posting this. I featured your video here 5 Easy Art Projects for Relaxation and Artist Block ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NYJQJ0w0vRs.html
Hi and my gratitude. Art has always been in the centre of my interests. With me in my happiness and sadness. Anger and excitement. Expressing myself even through my fashion creation. Intil 79 and Khomeini revolution, all changed. Diplomatic mission transformed into terroristic act... then asylum. After years of no having time and workaholic life, watching a mixed media on RU-vid, i started mixed media, college, and adding my journals that i had kept on the shelf. I would love to learn Neurographica for my sake and young refugees. I am a 73+ woman in search of whatever can help to k8cking trauma ❤my sincere gratitude
Excellent. Thanks for demytifying the process. How do you store a larger vase doesn't dry? And can many coils be rolled out a day in advance and kept in a baggy? Or must they be rolled while building the vase?
We have 90 min blocks and apply what we roll each day. We store but covering with a plastic grocery bag/shopping bag once outgrowing a large ziplock freezer bag.
