I've been thinking of being a straight hair natural for a year now. Since Turing 30, I don't do natural styles, I only do wash and go’s in the spring /summer and braids in the fall/winter. I have recently tried lace wigs and love them. My hair is 16-20 inches when straight and 5 -8 inches wet😂. My husband live my natural fro/styles but I'm afraid that I'm simple over it lol.
I love my natural hair but it was a task, I’ve had traditional locs twice that didn’t last long, but now I have micro locs and I love everything about it! Your hair is beautiful!
I was a straight hair natural maybe 5 years ago.. Curly my hair was a mess but straightened my hair was goals. I had no choice because a stylist snuck relaxer in my hair when I went for a silk press and my curls NEVER bounced back. I enjoyed being a straight hair natural for about a year but I’m back curly again. Idk thick coily Afros I just love 🥰 I’ve done relaxers, I’ve done pixie cut, I’ve don’t straight hair natural and now I’m choosing to be fully natural. Have fun with your hair. 🫶🏾 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kAaK7EK3Uxc.htmlsi=krlO7iyBfJW-rqPC
I love how in the comments everyone is talking about how they just used pink lotion and their hair was down their back. For the rest of us with the struggle rice length hair in childhood we are so happy to have hair now. I’ve decided to go straight after 11 years natural. I’m like you all now! 👩🏾
SHN is life. I have baby fine textured hair but high density. Keratin treatments just twice a year, flat ironing every couple of months with just blow drying in between and Olaplex 3 every wash day has helped me get close to bra strap length. Fairy knots and crazy splits 99% gone.
Love seeing another straight natural condfident in who are they are 🙌 I always wear my hair straight it’s just who I am. It’s so much easier to keep it straight for me.
I think my hair is course. It doesn’t break easily as long as I don’t use any chemicals. I keep it trimmed by my stylist because I hate the look of raggedy ends. Thank you for the compliment!
I’m a straight hair natural and have been for many years. You’re right about coming to terms with your textured hair. I love my straight natural hair I’ve learned how to work around the sweat out days. When I workout I pull my hair up in a ponytail and wear a sweat band that really works. I enjoyed your video great information.
Omg this was so helpful!! I recently got a bob and the way you wrap your hair seems so much easier for me to accomplish than some of the other ways I’ve seen on here.
I have had so many styles and being a straight natural is one of the easiest ways for me to maintain my hair. My hair is heat trained so it doesn't even revert in the humid heat when I lived in atlanta. I don't care about my curl pattern because I wear my hair straight. I unwrap and go. I talk a lot about heat training on tiktok and I get a lot of flack about it but I will continue to stand by heat training because it is a great alternative to relaxers.
Great video! I agree ! My hair doesn’t love braids . I guess it’s the friction and probably the professionals getting the hot water on my hair . Perm rods, flexi rods, and a silk press helps me. I have to stay on top my my trims too. Oh and not too many wash and goes or puffs.
what is a straight haired natural im so confused. isnt that just having natural straight hair?? how do "become" naturally straight haired im so confusedddddd!!!
No it’s not naturally straight, It’s someone that keeps their hair pressed out instead of in curly styles. They’re natural because it’s not chemically relaxed
Thank you for this video! Struggling with the knot so I keep watching your tutorial. My stylist refused to do it and then told me to never go to her again….and my braids are now unraveling
How often do you flat iron your hair? I just got a silk press a few days ago. My goal is to go every 3 weeks. I am considering keratin but if I can get get a silk press then I'll just do that.
I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong- I cannot get my hair silky straight when I do it at home. My hair tends to be very weighed down. I’ve tried various products and also eliminated products trying to figure out what is weighing it down. Any suggestions?
I want to start my straight hair, natural journey, but I am a heavy work out, girl, and I do sweat a lot on my face. I’m willing to modify my workouts a little bit so that I don’t sweat as much, we’ll see😢
New to your channel. I’m loving your videos. Been relaxing my hair forever with very short hair, which I loved. Just went to protective styles about a year ago, and I’d like to go to a straight hair natural now that it’s grown out. My immediate goal is the straight bob you posted a couple of years ago. Looking forward to watching more. 👍🏽
Hi! I just got out of the military last month and I was a straight natural coming in 2019 in the reserves. In 2021 I went active and was still a straight natural. By 2022 I couldn’t do it anymore with PT every morning I was always sweating SO badly lol. Now I’m a full curly girl, but I did just get out last month and I kinda miss my straight hair lol. Sister in arms 💖💖💖
