Thanks for the video! Great help since my cover didnt come with directions. Main point- remember to line up the front corners. Seems easy, but mine moved on driver side at the end, now i gotta readjust it. Dont forget to detail that cover with armor all or silicone.
Do you have any problems with turning and backing up? It seems like the outdoor unit and the truck bumper would interfere with each other. I’m looking at installing one on my enclosed trailer very soon. Thanks in advance
A truly bespoke camper with superb ergonomics. Your build is clearly the outcome of a considerable amount of thought, and you've paid particular attention to keeping the weight down, something which many builders overlook. Utilising the exterior of the camper makes camp life considerably easier, it also keeps the interior uncluttered. The 5x8 trailer makes for the best compromise between having a compact on road footprint for ease of towing and manoeuvring and sufficient internal space for comfortable camp living. As the camper isn't insulated, I assume that you don't camp in winter. Thank you for sharing your outstanding build, which also has a neat, individual appearence. Your lovely custom Rescue Wagon is wonderfully simple and simply wonderful!
Very helpful… I’m going to do a similar install soon , I really feel better about it after watching y’all’s video…. One suggestion…. Please buy that young man a decent hat . Roll Tide Roll 🅰️✝️🇺🇸😂
Seos it lock the axle to the springs somehow - and is there a way to make sure the axle is perpendicular to the trailer centerline so it tracks right? I always wondered about that with these flips.
Just curious. Why didn't you bring the wires and hose come up from underneath trailer? Would have been a cleaner look, without the big conduit seen from outside.
Wondering how come you didnt just wire the head unit direct to the breaker panel and have the black cable go out to connect to the unit because the l and n wire are just jumper and sends it to the inside unit so why not just have one of the cables go outside instead of the romex cable aswell?
Nice, this is really all that is needed for the weekend camper...I am curious on how well the 2007 Jeep tows this trailer. I own a 2007 Rubicon, did you upgrade the brakes?? How much weight savings with All Aluminum?
Be Free Benson, that was one of the most instructional videos I have seen. My brother is a Master Electrician, but we live 100's of miles. He knows I more or less can-do electricity and when I ask for help, he always says you'll figure it out, lol. So, thanks for the instructional Video.
At the time we were just happy to get it small and light weight. I am eventually going to do one that is 6’3” on the inside before adding a ceiling. Thanks for watching!!!
Any problems so far with the back of your vehicle hitting the generator or propane bottle now that you have these 2 accessories overhanging past the trailer a frame??
Overall great repair. The only thing I would suggest is using a good contact cement to glue the flooring back down instead of the staples...or eve a linoleum flooring cement...that ensures an even bond all around. My two cents for what it is worth!
Nice! We have a spot right in the middle of our floor that just seems like it’s cone unglued so it makes a loud pop when you walk on it. I’m afraid to pull up 20 sqft to check it though
What if you had attached the table part the other way around, with the void facing the spare? Would it have closed all the same? I'm thinking I like the molle showing when closed, but fitting a cutting board that lays in what normally have been the bottom side of the opened table. Flipped, it would be cutting board upwhen open. You think that could've worked?
I am so happy I found this video. Thank you for recording this, because I have to do this kind of repair myself and never thought of the new 2x2 1/2 supports.......I don't know why, but I should have! This has saved me a whole lot of time.
Love your videos. I don’t see a link to your Amazon purchases on your website or your videos. Where did you get the nut for the landing gear to change it from a hand crank to use your impact/drill to lower and make higher? Thank you.
Good evening, i love this video. I am in the process of converting a cargo trailer into a hunting camper. I went to your website and it would not pull up any of the products that you used. Could you let me know where to find them. Thank you
Thank-you for letting us know the links were not working! We have updated the product links on the video description and the website. Please let us know if you need anything else. Glad the video was helpful, and good luck with the camper!
@@hondaxl250k0 definitely a tight squeeze, everything is that generator area is completely near impossible to work on still mounted to the RV. I can barley get my hands in anywhere and lost a bolt underneath the housing, magnet definitely helped me there
L is load, not live. The cheapest wire is nit always best, something with some better insulation would have been wise. Maybe some number #12 stranded with rubber insulation.
Awesome video 🤙🏻 helpful in planning my own build. I’m planning to do something similar, I subscribed and look forward to seeing more of y’all’s adventures. My only complaint is the Auburn hat 🦃😂😆🅰️😎🇺🇸 lol …Roll Tide
You just screwed through the top plate and used butyl tape? No other sealing needed like around the screws? I have a very similar top plate and looking for a way to secure to top plate side mount like you did. I do NOT want to add any holes to the roof. Just worry about water coming in through the screw and running down the inside wall??
Dumbest design ever. Bypass the notoriously crap Onan fuel pump and fuel filter with an after market 3-5psi 12v fuel pump mounted as close to the fuel source as possible and easily accessible along with a marine 10 micron water fuel filter separator. Depending on your ending fuel pressure best measured as close to the carb you may have to install a fuel pump with a higher operating pressure to to pull and push the fuel over the distance of the fuel line and through any fuel filter systems inline before the carb. Make sure the fuel pump is pushing fuel through the fuel filter system and not pulling. For me it is an auxiliary fuel tank that contains ethanol free gas, but you can also mount the new replacement pump (not additional booster pump) fuel pump anywhere near the tank. I also have a fuel "Y" installed so that I can pull gas from my 55 gallon main tank as well as the ethanol free auxiliary tank. Add a $20, 0-10psi fuel gauge just before the carb for most accurate low pressure reading always get as close to carb as you can. Whatever fuel pump you buy just make sure the fuel pressure is between 3-5 psi for Onan 4000 at the carb after pulling from any fuel tank and pushing through any fuel filter system you put in place. the final PSI at the carb is what is most important for the generators reliability and performance. Again, always keep the fuel pump as close to fuel tank as possible. It's less stress for the fuel pump to push fuel to a distance than to pull fuel from a distance.
Thank-you so much! I wish I would have had this information before I tortured myself! I really appreciate this info. Hopefully, this will help others in the same boat and us in the future. Thanks so much for watching!
