Originally you could buy it with either a long shaft or a short shaft. I found like many others that the short shaft transom would invite back wave intrusion into the boat. So when I restored it I raised the transom to long shaft height (17 in I think). The boat is built to use a 60 hp motor. But we are comfortable with a 30 hp. Two medium adults and it will plane very well, but and a third or more gear and it wants to plow through the water. Really nice boat , we use it in the back rivers of the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis MD. One day my plan is to make the Mariner 30 hp engine look like a 60's model Evinrude or Johnson, and pull it to the water with our 53 chevy belair. Thanks for the email. Happy boating
First time viewer, looks like you got your work cut out for you! Every big or small conclusion is very rewarding, and worth it. Been working on a 53 HT for about 3 months, on a day off a day. I’m retired so I get away with it. Then there’s the Finances, nothing’s cheap. All my Chrome is headed to “Chrome Wizard” in Tennessee, except Stainless. Made a bad video but plan another soon. Keep me up on what’s happening. Enjoy watching, help if I can. Look forward to another Video!
Its been a while, but I think the 205 was just a 102 with the wide front. I used to know all this by heart, but sold all my panzers to a collector in Brunswick Md. I live not far from the Laurel factory. I wrote a lot of the history and worked with Jim (now diseased) ) on the history. Sorry I couldn't help any more than that. good luck with your Panzer. Walter
@@TheIronshaper thank you for the info. Love the collection good to see its still in good hands, mine is pretty original apart from a few things. I have a mowing deck but it's far to gone to restore its a shame
I am not sure of the original color of the spring. I just painted the whole thing one color. Sorry to say but I sold all my panzers several years ago. Thanks for looking.
I just picked up a 1950 Tiger PTD-6 this week that I plan to restore. It has the hood and dual rear tires as well as the solid rubber front wheels. I would be interested in how you replaced your front wheels as I'm looking into doing that myself.
Panzer's are cool, built like a tank. This one looks better than new. I have the frame w/axle, grille shell and seat like this one. Also have two 1968, 1110 models that have the square hood and bench seat, if anyone is looking for a Panzer. The best one my Father bought new for $950.00 in 68, that was a lot of money then It still looks great, too nice to even restore. It has never been wet and is still setting in a heated garage. All it needs is the reverse band which is still available. He used it for over 20 years until the deck needed attention. I have an extra deck and a snow plow. The other 1110 is complete but needs painted and seat redone. I have a third one that I'm not sure of the year model but it is a square hooded Meteor which has the first ever hydro static transmission. It is in pieces but no engine or tires. Anyone interested in a rare (I think there were less than 6000 total) Panzer you can contact me @ jeff13t@embarqmail.com.
Panzer's are awesome. Built to last forever. I have a couple 1968 1110 models that are the square hooded one's with the wide padded seat. Would consider selling for the right price.
Surprized that thing didn't flip over. Can't say I crack up over Panzer tractors or Pennsylvania Panzer tractors. They just don't look all that stable to me.
I am looking for videos on installing a gas tank on my 48 Dodge truck. Are there any references you found helpful when building yours? micheleharvey357@aol.com
I recently bought a 1910 with a loader. I would like to get a some information on how you added the 3rd function. Mine currently has a single lever controller. Not sure if that will make difference. Thanks.
I like watching that tractor in action and wish there was one in my area before I purchased my last tractor. John Deere is nice, but that Ford would be better.
I have a sickle bar just like the one in this video. But mine will not lay perpendicular to the tractor. I do not see how to make the bar move. Can you help me. contact Mark (cart3129@gmail.com)
