WOW BrightHaven, you've done a FANTASTIC job I LOVE IT!!!!! I know the original and it is too short and the DJ's voice etc.. I was so pleased to hear your version. Thank you.
Great song and good job on the re-working. Thanks much! I woke up this morning wishing to hear a beautiful rendition of this song - one preferably sung by a female - I had no idea that the Carpenters had sung this song, so thank you for this.
Thank you for sharing. My aunt had the album "Now and Then" when I was very little, a toddler, and I remember their version of this song very, very fondly.
She emulated Julie Londons version of this song here in a long melody of sixties hits on this album but i think that the Carpenters should have completed the song in its entirety as song on its own. this song really suits her range.
good job. thanks for removing that dreadful voice at the end.........' and we know that you'll always be digging those totally turned - on, top ten oldies....' whatever he says, it's awful. sound quality is fine........
Before this, I have only heard KD Lang's version (with Take 6 doing background vocals, and it is spectacular!), but, this here sounds so amazing! Loving the Carpenter's rendition:)
Karen had a beautiful voice; sad we lost her so early in life. I think the quality is great--I do wear earbuds to listen and heard very, very little, if any problem with the upload--glad you got rid of the DJ and extended it--thank you--loved it!
Thank you for blessing us with this crystal clear re-worked upload. You have done a fantastic job. The Carpenters were one of the greatest music groups of all time, in my little opinion. Their music was full of emphatic meaning and made with heartfelt love for their listeners that always came through with their combined accomplishments. Your impeccable taste is worth praising. Thank you, crcsoon
Nice work BH - the deejay nonsense always bothered me on that record, esp this song, which has such a great melody. Karen Carpenter ... what a voice... kd lang once said it "was like chocolate" and that sounds about right to me... :-) Thanks! (btw the quality is perfectly fine)
Nice version. Prefer the Frankie Valli cover of this song (due to the disco upbeat tone to it), but I love Karen Carpenter's voice. Shame she passed away too soon and too young. She would still headline Vegas and Branson if she would have lived.
Magical - excellent. How did you do this? I wish Richard would do this to all the little songs and make them full offerings. Like to 5 or 6 mini songs from the Make You Own Kind of Music show. Thank you for this and showing it can be done.
Great job , I really love this song and her cover with Richard's great arrangement. Plz do more from this Now and Then Album.....The end of the world......One fine day...A night with a thousand eyes.
That is a brilliant remix and makes the song much more enjoyable - thanks! That DJ voiceover may have worked back when the "Now and Then" album was released in 1973, but it seems irritating now.
@BrightHaven To keep the audio quality you need to upload in HD, you can use any video program, add that picture and soundtrack, as long as you encode as 1080x1920 the sound will stay HQ
