@@CasualGamer4K I think I had a Voodoo 3 too, but too slow of a processor and not enough ram. Oh the good old days! Regardless, this is one of the first racers that immersed me enough to make me feel like I was driving a car. The cockpit view helped too!
Hi! I just installed this game in my windows 10 PC. It is running properly and i did the 356, 356A, and 356B tournaments in EVOLUTION. Now i am yet to do the 2000cc challenge. However my "Porsche Centre" is stuck to 2 cars only, the 911 coupe and the 356B GS Carrera 2. I am not able to see any other cars in the "CAR" dropdown tab. Is this a bug?
That sounds correct actually. If you did those, you should be in the Classic Era, 1965, with the 2000cc Challenge available to you and those should be the two cars available. See here for a sample: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aL_I0E5QIR0.htmlsi=I_Xk9FEM3JpiXy5c&t=2843 I personally prefer the 356B 2000 GS Carrera 2 over the 911 as I feel it handles better but you can choose the 911 if you like.
@@CasualGamer4K Thanks a lot for the reply Casual. I finally figured out how the centre works with respect to each tournaments. And thanks too for the car tip. I can personally agree the Carrera is performing better than 911 but it still does skid a lot and the first 3 AI cars are unbelievably faster. Don't know if i can tweak it a little bit with downforce or acceleration. Anyways, thanks a lot :)
@@ayantikacharya3431 I'd say work on upgrading the parts for the car, it definitely will make yours a lot faster. As you move through evolution, the newer cars will generally handle better due to advances in technology. One of my favorite cars as far as handling is the 944. Also, the 911s from the mid to late 90s are nice.
@@CasualGamer4K Sure, i will try upgrading the parts of the car, thanks Casual. Also, i was just watching your video (the link attached previously). In my game, the screen is by default "stretched" to Full Screen (screen size value set to 640 x 480 x 16) However in your video, it is Full Screen but they are not stretched. Which is Super Impressive and looks Great 👍🏼 Can you recommend any setting for me to fix that.
None, 4K is an option on PC. The gameplay renders as seen in the video with the UI appearing really tiny as obviously this game was not designed for such a high resolution. The only piece I edited was the cutscenes to make them fill the screen as otherwise, they only appear in the top left corner. This site has a workaround for the cutscenes so that they render properly. I’ve never tested it myself but I’ve found that site does a great job documenting effective workarounds. www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Shadows_of_the_Empire

Sure, I got this to run on Windows 11 22H2. The way I got it to work was by downloading this patch: web.archive.org/web/20220128183909/verokster.blogspot.com/2019/11/need-for-speed-porsche-unleashed-patch.html I installed the game from the Porsche Unleashed CD and once the install completed, I went ahead and copied all the files from this patch over the installation. Once that's done, go to your game's installed directory and run "config.exe" and it should be configured with the settings shown here: imgur.com/a/OzWi5e9 Once I configured it this way, it worked like a champ, in my case with 4K Resolution. I won't say it was perfect as it did crash 2 or 3 times but overall, it works well. Try it and let me know if it works.
