You should really ban the blue team in the Madison race. They were really reckless and irresponsible, they took out multiple riders and cause them to break their expensive gear. They should have at least been disqualified.
1) Camera work is still best I’ve seen for velodromes, could be small track lets us see riders better, could be the camera person-still better than coverage of recent UCI worlds velodrome races. 2) Friends of the velodrome, don’t hesitate to make a comment, even just to say hi to your favorite rider or whomever. It helps drive the algorithm to get more people to see this.
I just want to say the production quality of your broadcast is very good, the camera work is especially impressive, we can see the riders faces and effort quite well. (UCI champions league broadcasts would do well do study what you are doing). If you could find a way to safely put forward facing camera on a bike during miss & out or madison, I’m sure that could give some amazing shots. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words!!! We have done forward-facing onboard cameras into the live streams in the past but racers did not like the weight of the camera and transmitter attached to the handlebars. We stick to rear-facing onboards now and use front-facing 360 cameras for posting to Instagram and Facebook, etc.
@@LexusVelodrome I agree with the previous commenter. I also enjoy the closeups of the riders at the start of each race followed by the panning of the bikes themselves. Many of us not only enjoy watching the racing but are curious to know what bike tech everyone is riding too.
Mike Samyn, to figure out the speed, time a lap going from finish line to finish line. Speed in miles per hour is about 372 divided by lap time. Speed in km/hr is about 600 divided by lap time.
They ought to outlaw the hand sling - It's more dangerous than the saddle push - In the old days, we had special tights that were reinforced. A "jamming tool" was inserted in a pocked in the back that enabled hurling the rider forward - Much safer - Just as effective.
I love watching these videos. What is the reason to be up on the handlebars when riding the black line throwing your partner in and when riding the red line being thrown in you want to be in the drops?
