What is the cheper subsitute of silver nitrate?? I heard some people useing silver nitrate in begining, but now they reduce their cost of mfg by 1/3 by using some chemical , can you suggest please??
You know more than I do, I've never heard of a Silver Nitrate substitute being used. Silver Nitrate only works out to roughly £1 per gram so that's fine.
@@EssexSilvering My saying that still those units using silver nitrate, but now they reduced that cost by adding some chemicals, By the way i m searching that. what is the chemical formulation proportion with silver nitrate,i mean how silver nitrate diluted in the 1 ltr of distill water?
@@ankitadeshara8679 Depends on how strong you want to make it, .... The places that sell this Hydrochrome at ridiculas prices will add 17g per litre, so that is a good guide line to go on. Try 12g, or lower, or you might want to stick with the places that sell this at 17g per litre, up to you, it's your preference.
Solution A - 12 gm Silver nitrate,+ 3 gm potassium hydroxide + Amonia untill clear liquid, for 1 ltr DI water Is this correct ratio to start trials?? Solution B 1 ltr DI water Dextrose qty??? Amonia qty??? What is the correct ratio to start trials??
@@azaanhassan7521 Try adding some coffee granuals or some alcohol or both. Sometimes this can happen, ... Or you can do the flame instead of the wetting agent.
Plant wetting agen from Ebay, add 20ml per litre of DI Water. Another one is Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, add 10ml to 1 litre DI water, .... There is loads of different ways and chemicals, it goes on forever, it's pretty easy to work out if you do your homework like I did ;-)
hi bro, I would like to do solution A and B myself. I think I have found a formula, for solution A I put 5g of silver nitrate, 5g caustic soda (99%) and 10ml of pure ammonia (25%) and 1l of demineralized water. for solution B I put 5g of glucose and 1ml of formaldehyde for 1l of water. is the formula correct pls? thanks bro
I'm not sure about the amount of grams your using or ml's as my percentages of the chemicals are all different to yours and I make up 10 litres at a time in concentrate form. All I can suggest is have ago and see what happens, this is all I ever did when I made mine up to get it right for me.
@@Teflon_75 Cool man! And as a matter of fact, TELSTAR is one of my favorite movies. It does take me back to hearing that song all the time in my early teens. :)
