Same to Sherman Fireflies but instead reverse to make it seem like a normal Sherman because Germans priorities to destroy Fireflies for its ability to penetrate German Armour including the infamous King Tiger
Wrong, officers and generals were already a thing in the red army since at least 1940 officially and 1935 unofficially. In 1935 the soviets moved away from a positional ranking system where a commander was given an appointment within a category from K1 to K13 which could range from a red army man to a district/ front commander. This system was replaced by official ranks which were divided between supervisory personnel ranging from Squad leader to Starshina, then the junior command personnel ranging from Junior Lieutenant to Senior Lieutenant, senior command personnel ranging from Major to Colonel and the highest command personnel ranging from Brigade commander(Kombrig) for short to Marshal of the USSR. This system was updated in 1940 where the highest command personnel ranks were replaced by general ranks. The brigade commander rank was removed and all other ranks ranging from Komdiv to Kamandarm 1st rank were supplemented by general ranks. For example Komdiv became major general, komkor became Lieutenant general, kamandarm 2nd rank became Colonel general and kamandarm 1st rank became army general. Only marshal of the Soviet Union didn’t get a name change however its insignia was updated by adding a golden leaf chevron under the star. Along with those changes the rank of lieutenant Colonel was introduced, this change forced the red army to redesign its sleeve insignia for its officers and update the rank of colonel which received a 4th bar in order to distinguish it from the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. From this point on members of the junior command personnel and higher were usually referred to as officer. The only change in 1943 was the redisign of the insignia where the red army started using shoulder boards instead of collar patches to display their rank.
I’m a retired submarine sailor that served on both ballistic missile and fast attack submarines from 1988-2009 and I never once opened a can of bread. Bread was baked fresh and we ate very well. From my experience, this is BS!!
In memories of brave soldiers that fighted in that bad situation, greetings to all of them. They fighted for freedom . From IRAN, we appreciate thier sacrifices at WWI, WWII, Korean war, Vietnam war, desert storm , iraq freedom, syria civil war and .... ((Woman, life, freedom))
The grand duchess anastasia managed to escape and was not killed by the help of a young bolshevik guy, they had secretly lived in a vast woods for weeks and then they traveled far away, soon they fell in love with each other and built a family. She enjoyed her life as an ordinary citizen ❤.
Wrong!, this is what some scammers spread to be able to deceive people. The body of Anastasia and her entire family was found in the forest and it was confirmed that they were all assassinated.
Not proven, they've already said her remains were found with her parents, 2 of her sisters and 3 servants at Ekateringberg where they were all under house arrest until their murders, Prince Alexis and his sister probably Maria were found later🤔🫣
The best SMG of the war??? LMAO no wayyy, it's up there though near the top! But definitely not #1 honestly I would go as far to say that there wasn't a SMG that held the number one spot haha. You gotta remember this is the age of SMGs becoming lighter, faster, cheaper and harder hitting So technically this is the beginning of the SMGs it all started here.... MY FAVORITE PPSH mod was was the fighter bomber and the bombay was filled from top to bottom with PPSHs with drum magazines, idea was to shower thousands of bullets at once into slit trenches
Than surely my Hungarian grandfather was a great actor bc every time he talked about the gulag he broke down but now i know from this random youtube short that he was never even a prisoner...
