Hi @departe5672 thanks for your comment. The Borg code locks are compatible with our budget fire exit doors, as it's only a single point panic bar. The lever handle doesn't have enough travel to disengage a 2 point panic bar.
Hi @PartrickLasiter, thanks for you comment. The goal post frames for our doors and shutters are available on our website here: www.lathamssteeldoors.co.uk/container-door-parts/steel-goal-post-frame/
my suggestions would be for this exceptionally good quality door would be firstly to lose the letterbox and secondly to put bars over the glass panel in such a way that the letterbox tool cannot be used to bypass or access the thumb lock either through the window or the letterbox as this would be the fastest and easiest way in and can be done without any effort whatsoever.
as working Locksmith, my suggestions would be: 1. leaves the letterbox. 2. either remove window or put metal bars across the window in such a way that a letterbox tool can be used to bypass or access the thumb turn on the inside of the door.

Hi @jayess6318, thanks for your comment. We recommend where possible installing the door outward opening as it is more secure, and have a lot of customers that do. Have you seen our video with World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall? He attacks inward opening versions of our doors 💪
@@lathamssteeldoors Imagine a door with outdoor opening and a heavy snowstorm forces the door shut and you can't open it. Not a good thing. Imagine someone taking steps to lock you in by placing a heavy object in front of the door. There are other scenarios why inward opening doors make more sense. There are legitimate reasons why doors open inwards not outwards.
Hi @leecornwall8381 thanks for your comment. You would indeed need a lintel, our wall here has got a single leaf angle lintel as it only has a few courses above.
Hi @@mickrooney3198 thanks for your comment, and your suggestion. We'll pass it along to the marketing team 🙂. If you need any support with installation you can contact sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk or call our team on 01384 220050 and they will be happy to help.
well, good thing this is 5 yrs old. 1: kinda hard to kick IN a door that swings OUT. genius! 2" hinges on the outside? genius! well done. *golf clap* 😜
Hi @olewurtz7625 thanks for your comment. In terms of the 65mm, that would be through the central axis of the hinge. These are our old style doors though, we no longer use the lift of hinges. In terms of the measurements looking at our internal jig, on the push side of the door if you measure in 16mm from the edge of the frame, and 35mm down from the top of the frame, that's where you would position the main part of the stay. If you then position it at the end of the stay and line the top bracket up with the underside of the top of the frame, you can then mark and drill to fit that. That will give a 90 degree opening stay. I hope that helps 🙂 but if you need any more help you can also contact our support team on 01384 220050.

Absolutely. I mean these are great doors but it’s never going to break open when hitting a door that opens outward from the attack side. Kind of a pointless video tbh
Hi @BD90.. thanks for your comment. We would always recommend fitting a door opening outward where possible for additional reinforcement from the frame. We do have an inward opening attack demonstration too by World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MN3JhC0qxDA.html
I had to opportunity to try out fitting some of these doors for the first for a customer this past weekend, and what a system to fit this is! Absolute class! Couldn’t recommend Lathams enough 👍🏻
Hi @All_Amin, thanks for your comment, we use 1.0mm double skinned galvanised steel for the front door leaves, which is approx. 19 gauge I believe, and 1.2mm on the high security door, which is around 18 gauge.
@@All_Amin thanks for your comment, we do have international shipment options, if you want to get in touch with our sales team on sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk they can discuss your requirements and the available options 🙂
Fantastic video. Sad to see the good doors get hit by the sledge hammer. Only question being are the locks pick resistant ? So many tools available to by pass once good locks. God bless 🙏👌
Hi @lizzapailia959 thanks for your comment. They are indeed, we offer up to a 3* kitemarked cylinder, which offers anti-snap, anti-drill and anti-pick protection on them. We use them on all of our security rated doors.
Thank you for your reply. You're probably aware of the modern day lock picks that are easily defeating once secure locks. We're in the USA. So idk if it's feasible to try to purchase products from you. It appears there are a few of your doors for sale on ebay? Don't know if the are authentic products of yours???? Thank you again God bless 🙏
Hi @@lizzapaolia959 we don't have any resellers in the US at the moment, but we do work with a range of couriers, if you wanted to get in touch with our sales team on sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk with your requirements, they will be able to advise further :).
Hi @lopo8000, thanks for your comment. If you want to get in touch with our sales team to discuss your requirements, we have shipped doors to Europe previously. You can contact them on sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk :)
Im sorry but that first door was not a real door. If you look closely it is like 1mm thick. Silly comparison really. You could have at least used a real door and given him a sledgehammer or something.
Hi @saurabhchakravarty6955 thanks for your comment. Unfortunately we aren't in India, we do have offices in the UK and Australia though so may be able to arrange shipping. If you wanted to contact our sales team on sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk with your requirements, they will be able to advise further.
Hi @AliHussanuk, thanks for your comment, I'm sorry to hear your having trouble. If you want to give the customer care team a call on 01384 220050 or email them on sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk they'll be able to run through some troubleshooting with you
Thanks, I've fixed my mistake. I put the seal on the lock edge of the door frame rather than the door stop section of the frame. Doh@@lathamssteeldoors
Hi @Alderoth, thanks for your comment. We are able to ship to the US if needed. If you wanted to get in touch with the sales team on sales@lathamssteeldoors.co.uk they can run through the options for you.
