First time I'm hearing about these. If the origin of the name is lost to time, we can assume there was some settler misnaming shenanigans that contributed to the bizarre title of "chicken."
I have a topic request if you don't mind, are cats and dogs actually natural enemies? It's a classic media trope, but I've never heard it happen in real life and actually regularly see families with both a cat and a dog.
I have never heard of this phenomenon.🤔 Even if the ferrets may not often be harmed, I would feel really bad for a ferret in this situation. I would think it would cause a lot of panic and distress for them. :(
When a rabbit stops eating due to GI stasis, they can pass in less than 24 hours without treatment. That is generally considered a "sudden death" in the context of animal and pet care.
My nanny goat ate part of my son's homework once. I wrote his teacher a note on the back, in part, "It wasn't a dog that ate his homework, it was our goat. I know because I was there when it happened..." Mr. Udall got a big laugh out of it and put it in a picture frame to hang it on the wall. That was over 30 years ago and I wouldn't be surprised if it's still there. Our goat did eat a spider once. Maybe she thought it was an M&M with legs.😅
It's interesting to see the reason why. Funny thing, I swear dogs like chocolate based on 2 dogs I knew. Both of them loved getting into food they shouldn't, and they always seemed to pick the things with chocolate first. One would then go in the backyard and throw up, but the other (a beagle) would just sulk around with an upset stomach (like if a human ate a pound of chocolate in 1 sitting, or something like that), and after the tummy ache passed he was fine again. You'd think they'd catch on "this makes me sick," but for some reason they didn't.
Thanks for this. It's interesting, as I recently learned that some bats are practically immune to the effects of rabies, but in contrast, that makes them long term carries,
I have been watching bunny videos for years and never learned what to call that part of the bunny until now. To also learn that it has evolutionary purpose? Incredible. 10/10 bunny facts and 10/10 video sharing them with the world. Tyvm for this banger
