They would diserved the gold medal with this great performance! Now, of course, Miya and Miho are retired. This year, Miya will be 50 years old, and Miho 48. I hope i'm not wrong, but i guess Miya is coaching an american artistic swimming team, Miho is married with a loyer and politician named Eikei Suzuki, she had a son (or a daughter) and her son (or daughter) now is a 12 years old teenager, she is a professor at Mie University, serves as honorary Chair of the Mie UNICEF Association and gives lectures on diet and exercise, and on corporate training and writing. She continues to share her love of the water and artistic swimming with children.
At 20 years old, Virginie was a wonderful young artistic swimming. Now she is 44 , and even she is married and Mom , it looks like she dived on the fountain of youth !
Myriam retired at 25 years old, even she could retired in Athens, 4 years later, or in Beijing 8 years later, but she choosed for it and a few years later she became a coach I do believe that Virginie retired at 29 years old in the same year from Beijing olympic games. Virginie is coaching as well, but she always does Gala's performances in any artistic swimming championship
I am not sure what she is doing now, but I will let you know if I find out. I heard that she used to be Hur Yoon-seo's coach several years ago.(Yoon-seo finished sixth in the women's solo free event at the world championships in July this year.)
Miho Takeda is 5 times madalist in 3 olympic games ( 1996, 2000 and 2004 ), and actually she is a graduate of Ritsumeikan University and she is married with the politician Eikei Suzuki, If i'm not wrong, she is also Mother. Miya Tachibana has the same like Miho, cos they competed together until 2004. In Atenas, Miho was 28 years old, and Miya retired after 2004 games before 30 years old. Actually Miya is coach, and if i'm not wrong, she is living in USA. I don''t know if Miya is married and has kids. After all, she also has age to be wife and Mother
Good question. I don't have a good answer for that. The videos from 2023 should have a way better pictures and frames, but they might have sacrificed them in streaming videos to save data consumption, I guess. By the way, I ripped video tapes I purchased from the tv broadcaster's page. They might have recorded videos on Beta tapes, but I am not 100% sure.
Yes, this was from the March 2000. You see "2002" at 0:36, just because that was an early notification that Asian Games 2002 will be held in same city(Busan) two years later in September. I heard an artistic swimming in Asian Games 2002 was held in the same swimming pool. Unfortunately, I could only find 30-50 second footage from sports news archive.
@@synchro8909 Oh, okay. By the way, my sister who represented Malaysia in artistic swimming was supposed to compete in Busan in 02, but she was prevented from doing so, apparently. As for this competition, I don't know why my sister and her duet partner didn't participate.
