Hi Paul, it’s looking very nice already. Not done a Border kit yet but it seems a few people have issues with the instructions. It’ll be alright on the night Paul, you’ll make it work 👏🏻👏🏻, all the best, Chris
Dear Mr P, Border have chosen a funny way of putting the fuselage together! It is I fear of no help to you right now, but I suspect that the Kotare kit instructions may offer some assistance- perhaps I could look later and get back to you? Regards, Z
Hi Paul, the Spitfire is looking great, when you show the power plant, I thought it could go straight into a 35th scale Centurion, happy modelling mate, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Looks great. You're right about making you think, I have their B5n2 Kate and while I haven't started it straight away I've noted there is no colour call outs in the instruction which will make paining harder than it should. I expect there will be magically fitted parts along the way as well. Oh well. Take care, Richard
It’s good that you have a kit that makes you think for a while. It’s coming along nicely. Have a great week. Almost done with the Viggen for the 48hr. GB 🥳🤪
9:23 that top is for the flak 38 aka the anti air gun, the AA gin has several gauges from that side that count elevation and other stuff, in general you have to research to be able to tell the differences between the anti tank and AA variants Paul, some of them are major (like the gub barrel) some of them are details. In general these kits have a lot of parts and i also understand what you mean about the instruction arrows, stuff like that make an already challenging build unecessary more difficult. A good update i have to say. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Hi Paul, that was a truly excellent build, it looked so realistic in that setting, it was painted and weathered to perfection, Terry would have said, don't be a 'fuss pot' I only knew Terry through YT but cobsidered him a mate, and comment I wrote he always replied, very best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
It's a shame manufacturers don't do an 'engine out' option so said engine can be a proper size and not underscale.. I cant find an aftermarket Merlin either.
Just looking at the sprues and assembly instructions. The Border kit looks pretty damn close to wonder if it's an upscaled Hobby Boss Spitfire. The Hobby Boss goes together like a dream, the only hick up I hit was the seat framing. Assembled as per instructions it's a PIA. But assemble it piece by piece straight off the bulkhead it's easy peasy.
Dear Mr Plastic, There are sad stories in the world, but I prefer to remember Terry as someone who was full of hope and quiet gratitude for all the good fortune he encountered along the way. He always said how grateful he was for the friendship he gained from the community and I think he really meant that. That’s how I will remember him. A lovely project my friend. Kind regards, Z
Impressive kit! But I miss instructions for painting the engine and all the interior parts. Take your time, and it will be interesting to follow this build.
Dear Mr Plastic, it looks to me as if there are endless opportunities to make this a unique little project! I like what you're doing there and will be interested to see how the rust turns out! Best regards, Z
Hi Paul, great kit to build. I did the T3 bus and apart from a twisted body, it went together well. This modelling lark seems to suit you my friend. Excellent results 👏🏻👏🏻.. All the best, Chris
