I worked in Juliette for over a year at the nearby Plant Sherer power plant,I love that part of Georgia.My wife and I lodged in Forsyth Georgia for most of the duration of the job, also enjoying the small town feel of it.
It's cool that you worked over at the power plant. I agree. That part of Georgia is a quiet, slow paced area away from the city. It is also a nice place to be.
I don't live far from the college but have yet to walk the campus. I really enjoyed your video. I'll try harder to make time to visit that gorgeous campus!

Why would they pave the road ,,it should of been kept original ,,it goes with time and year of the township when it was established ,,it was a great movie ,, one of my dear friends and her family are from Georgia not far from Juliette ,,so loved the movie ,,i made some fried green tomatoes for my husband before he,s from Mississippi he loved them
You say at first “there is the waterfall,” but that is not the waterfall; that is the damn. The falls are on the other side of the road. The ruins are from one of the many mills that were once there. What is now the park was once quite a busy industrial area.
My Great Grandma died there in the 50s .Horrible place .I've heard the demons of those possessed still haunt those halls .It's the largest mental institution in the world .
I am sorry that happened. Thinking about the barbaric treatments that were done back then really makes me grateful for the technological advances we have now. Yes, this place is still haunted to this day, even decades after it closed.

I remember that. There also used be a KB toys here as well. There was also a Victoria's Secret, PacSun, Bass Co., and an ice cream store there at one time as well from what I can remember.

Actually, I couldn't sneak in. The buildings were so far deteriorated that it was not safe to go inside. There was security there as well so, no one could sneak in.
