Hi, is there a way to sent some tag value with a server client to an url(external) and get comunication between both? note: it could be using a plc getting the data or as simulation of tags but sending the tag value to an api url
Hi Yes however you will need to establish a communication path first on both ends. My suggestion would be NodeJS. That’s actually coming in one of my videos in a near future.
Hi Khanh, Apologies for answering question with a question. Do you get an error? Have you tried running the TIA As admin? Also I would check if you have the right device in a right place.
@@khanho4827 Any time friend. Hopefully you get it running. If for some reason you run into problems still, let me know and we can take a look at it via zoom.
@@johnkula5168 I have a guardlogix 5380 controller. After I finish the set up and go to properties in the device and select create tags I get the error. I am using the Allen Bradley Controllogix Ethernet driver with model CompactLogix 5300 family selected
Hi Rodrigo, Try going here. support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/65949252/io_link_system_function_manual_en-US_en-US.pdf?download=true I found it by googling " siemens s7-1200 io link manual ". The first result will take you directly to download.
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me what we need on the AB PLC side? Do we need any kind of OPC DA driver or do we need a certain type of ethernet module.
Hi Liban Abu. I do not at the moment but the difference between Siemens and Compact logix is that you would need to specify the absolute addressing in the Kepware. At this point I dont think that Kepware has the capability to auto populate tags for Siemens.
