1:24 low ram usage is actually bad. What you should have done would have been to test how many browser tabs you can open and how the working memory behaves. You can see this especially at 2:30 that the difference in memory usage has become significantly smaller than at 1:24. This would also be more obvious with more tabs. I also hate 3:40 because I had to make my own script to close my browser because otherwise, I had to restore my previous tabs. That's all.
the reason I didn't throw an old laptop was Linux, now I use it to teach English and it works lmao but the problem with Linux is that you need twice the work to learn it than using Windows and many people is not fancy of learning so many things :'/

When i leave my windows 11 computer on for too long i cannot shutdown nor use any administrator applications it does simply not show the prompt. Btw i have a Intel Core i9-9900K and a nvme ssd.

Linux simply Rocks, I use RichARCH btw. With it I was able to get Arch Linux up and running simply and quickly with kickstart like automation features.
I currently use windows 11 (on unsupported hardware) and I will try windows 12? If it comes out and then switch to Linux. My 2nd PC already runs Ubuntu and it's really fast.
I dislike this video because this is misleading. I make this comment on a windows 10 with 2 Gb memory and opening 5 youtube windows with 4 playing and I still have 200 mb available. With initial memory use of only 500 mb. I doubt mine can run the newer arch linux

Why use such old laptops? Could you compare modern hardware like the infamous Nvidia / Intel compatibility issue with arch? I noticed my Rtx 3060 runs well on both an Intel i7 2600 and a amd ryzen 5 5600. The i7 is faster, but a lot more buggy and the bugs slow it down worse

yeah on some modern hardware specially nvidia gpus linux sucks but other than that i dont see linux falling behind any where plus this issues are fixed with new kernel updates most of the time. i have pavillion aero, at the time i bought this suspend and wifi won't work but within a month or so it got fixed using arch or fedora or anything with latest kernel will be serve you better in this case
Most of the driver issues for Nvidia are on Nvidia's side to a point it became a meme where Linus said gave Nvidia a middle finger. It has improved, but still is kinda bad. Nvidia hardware is fine.@@xtreme_android

lmao, thanks to linux i was able to "revive" my laptop from 2008 (it came out when i was 2 years old) by installing the most minimal arch on it, and i also used many other distros. now i have a new laptop because the 2008 one eventually died and still using linux, artix this time.

maybe use of TWM makes you think its unfair comparison, it's EndeavourOS BSPWM Edition Which is configured to be as functional as Full Blown DE. + On this laptop I Use XFCE myself , more or less results are identical to this test coz its still linux at the end and linux runs even on potatoes.
