Sādhu Sādhu Sādhu for such valuable video. Grateful to Lord Buddha, past Arahants, past Ariyas, past Sangha community, Ven. Pa-Auk Sayadawgi for passing the Dhamma till the current era.
Wild news! Pa Auk has changed meditation instructions because they found mistakes. The Mistakes of Pa Auk meditation channel highlighted mistakes. Now the teachers have accepted and made changes
Hi Syprus, this channel is known and I doubt that your "wild news" will be accurate, do you have any details? I discussed with a highly trained and knowledgable teacher the accusation made on that channel. His answer was simple. It is easy to make assumptions for people without in-depth knowledge of Pali, they read something but there is a vast amount of information, there are many cross-references. They have not changed the teachings.
@@settiwessels3620 these are the details that I received. Please check with your teacher and tell me if they are correct also. That way i can stop the comments 1. Anapanasati parikamma nimitta is not grey anymore. It is only the touching point 2. Kasina patibhaga nimitta is not cittaja or utuja rupa kalapas according to their book Workings of Kamma. It is now only concept and cannot be seen by the eye 3. Anapanasati cittaja rupa kalapas cannot be seen by the eye, except for only one eye door process as soon as they appear. Because they perish thereafter 4. Pa auk agrees that ice block is not mentioned in Tipitaka 5. Don't discern akusala cittas by generating them. Try to see external or past. Let me know if you heard the same. Thanks
@@syprus7794 Hi, no need to speak to a teacher, you can better contact them yourself if you need more answers: 1) Anapana is never touching point, that is Four Elements meditation, Anapana nimitta starts grey during practice and becomes bright when concentration is good, not useful to discuss nimitta by people who do not practice. 2) No nimitta is ever seen by the eye, sure it is concept only. 3) Anapana is breathing meditation, nobody will ever see kalapas during practice of this technique, the bodily eye will never see kalāpas - your sentence does not make sense. If you see that in a video better to ignore, if you want to see anapana nimitta better to practice and see for yourself. 4) Pa Auk never said "ice block" is in Pali texts, it was a description used by a student in an interview to ask a question about what they experienced during their practice and it was a useful choice of words, so many people started using it. 5) I cannot understand your question as nobody should generate akusala cittas at any time. Good luck, if you really want to understand better avoid those videos which are designed to cause disharmony - better practice by yourself if you want to understand.
@@settiwessels3620 Setti, here some info. please speak the truth. humanity needs it now...This is a real request. 1. Anapanasati is observed at the tip of the nose or the upper lip. This is referred to as touching point. Read any acceptable Pali text for this information 2a) In several videos Pa Auk Sayadaw has mentioned do not look at the anapanasati patibhaga nimitta too closely, because then one can see rupa kalapas. One of his videos is "Anapana to Jhana stage - Dhamma talk by Venerable Pa Auk Sayadaw". Channel on youtube is Dhamma Jeevan. Time is 29:30 2b) Ven. Kumara says Anapanasati patibhaga nimitta has rupa kalapas. His own video. Channel is called Friends of Sasana. Name of video is "Does Anapana Patibhaga Nimitta have rupa kalapa. 2c) The Only Way for the Realization of Nibbana page 39. This book is Pa auk Sayadaw's book and quoted in Ven. Kumara's video. So your statement of it being a concept contradicts Pa Auk Sayadaw's videos. According to the Dhamma - YOUR statement is accurate...Pa Auk is wrong. 3. Ven. Kovida states patibhaga nimitta can cause tears to the eye. Video is Anapanasati Meditation Instruction by Bhante Kovida. Channel Kaung Htat Nyunt. Time is 40:14 4. For akusala, read the Pa Auk meditation manual for discerning Nama Rupa. If you give me your email I can send it to you. To discern akusala, Pa Auk used to say generate it first and then discern. You can ask Ven. Revata. English version page 33. 5) Ice block - well that was easy. Look Setti. I don't know you. I was told you are a journalist. If that is true, then lets stick to the truth. If you are not a journalist or don't care about honesty, I am sorry I took up your time
@@settiwessels3620 here some info. I guess you blocked my last reply , which is ok. 1. Anapanasati is observed at the tip of the nose or the upper lip. This is referred to as the touching point. Channel Friends of Sasana. Video is "Can Anapana Patibhaga Nimitta cause disturbance to the eye and conclusion". This contradicts your statement no nimitta can be seen by the eye. Again, you are correct. Pa Auk is wrong. 4)For Akusala, read the Pa Auk meditation manual for discerning Nama rupa. i can send you a copy if you give me your email. To discern akusala, Pa Auk details how to generate akusala first. page number 33. This disk is already translated. It is Tatar Turkic. But i see on many platforms they say it is not deciphered and it is unknown? How can this be? The Sumerian texts are also translated, again Turkic. This Phaistos disk, is from the Minoan people, whom they call Greek. What a joke. What a truth twisting claim. Like those Mycanaeans, both Minoans and Mycenaeans use our Turkic alfabet, fish like letter, M. For their names. What a coincidence isn't it? More Turkic than Greek. They still say, who were these people? Where did they came from? They had such beautiful words for this people, till they knew it were Turks. So it is now, who were they? It is still not deciphered. Unknown people, the ancestors of the Greeks. Hahaha. I recommend everyone reading, Gene D. Matlock - Must we rewrite ancient history. Bhante 🙏🙏 Is taking permission from parents necessary for becoming a monk.. Is there a way around that if someone really wants to become a monk but parents are not approving?
Even though it need parents permission, some people got adopted by a monk, then they got permission from adopted parents. That's happened to one monk who is now well known.
