@@GoPlacesLKN not sure what you meant. But the colon pulls water from the system because dry feces doesn't purge well. If fiber is necessary, why is it that when people are about to have colon surgery, they are told not to eat fiber for days before? What does fiber do, that a well fed and hydrated body doesn't do on it's own?
@joshthielbar1 correct . We need fiber in our system to be able to have proper stools with the goal of a Bristol stool type 4. Fiber is a complex carbohydrate and occurs in various forms (eg, cellulose, hemicellulose, pectin, gums). Dietary fiber can be soluble or insoluble. Insoluble fiber increases gastrointestinal motility, prevents constipation, increases fecal bulk, and helps control diverticular disease. Insoluble fiber is thought to accelerate the elimination of cancer-causing substances produced by bacteria in the large intestine. Thanks for the comment.
@@GoPlacesLKN You're welcome! Can you help me understand how fiber is necessary when most people with idiopathic constipation who are put on a low or zero fiber diet drastically improve? (World Journal of Gastroenterology, sept 2012.) Or how humans in cold climates, like the Inuit or people in rural Siberia, were able to have fewer health issues when eating minimal plants and zero fiber supplements?
@joshthielbar1 not sure about their diet and response to their diet since their adaptation to their environment. On the other hand, CIC can be due to a slow colonic transition, and a low fiber diet seems to worsen their symptoms. But, when Linzess and fiber is used then symptoms improve. I have not heard a low or zero fiber diet for cic.

If you were watching HR 2864, it has now been rolled into HR 8070, which HAS PASSED the house vote. If you want an eye opening experience, look it up and search the text for "DJI". They are actually in 2 parts of the Bill!! The part from HR2864 is calling for the ban, BUT the other spot where DJI is mentioned is earlier in the bill where they direct the department of defense to dissassemble DJI drones to "look for" security risks. So to sum up, the part of the bill from HR 2864 demands the ban of DJI, BUT the other part of the bill asks the DoD to "look into it" and see if it is a problem!!! Did anyone else read it this way????
