Thia video is released directly by toast. is anyone from toast going to respond to the update accusations? I'm going to be new to toast in a week, and I really don't want to deal with version that paying customers to toast HATE. Please work on a solution and release it soon.
This seems like Diag Wizard could easily do these checks and guide the user through the basic checks with some simple Q&A, right? Otherwise, great video!
I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal property for trusting trapper so he can lie to the state about where I was working because where was it was it Kent Station or was it the brand new Federal Way store oh wait you specifically hired me to work for JJ at the Southcenter store and didn't tell anybody you better lie to the state or they're not going to pay you s*** and neither am I because I'm A thieving scumbag
They probably saved a shitload of money during covid to lying to the state about where their people were working so they could avoid playing unemployment I got stuck based on their lies with no income for 8 months after Emperor Jay Ensley decided to destroy my livelihood and then the scumbag company had the audacity after a f****** screwing me out of my unemployment to offer me my job back at the same pay scale after leaving me with no income for 8 months because they lied😅😅😅 do not trust this company they will f*** you if you give them the chance I watched their owner tell me to my face that we were family because I helped him open his new store in Southcenter to have my entire life f***** over because his people wanted to lie to the state to save a few bucks so I went broke and homeless
Is it possible to attach a modifier group directly to a menu group as opposed to attaching it to each individual menu item? For example, let's say I create the menu group "Salads" and the modifier group "Salad Dressings." If I attach them then anything within that menu group would automatically prompt the user to choose a salad dressing, as opposed to having to assign each individual salad that modifier. Thanks!
Hi we have recently acquired a toast system for our location. At a previous employer i've used the toast system before. At my previous employer, whenever you took a credit card. The tip percentage button would light up blue in the center. At my new job the tip percentage buttons are all the same colors. Could you please explain how to change the percentage button Colors just to make them stand out and easier for guests to read Some of our guests are older and have trouble seeing the buttons that are not in color. Please help
The new update is absolutely horrible, people wants to split the bill and it is so complicated, I lost money and time sometimes people change the order so difficult to remove or add
Putting in orders on the handheld is absolutely terrible now. The classic was so much faster and easier. The screen that shows what you’ve put in is tiny compared to how it was and now you have to constantly scroll to find the seat number first before putting in items instead of just putting in the item and picking a seat number
I’ve worked in the industry for over 10 years and the last version of Toast was by far my favorite POS I’ve ever used. This new version is the ABSOLUTE WORST POS I’ve ever used!! After working a dozen shifts with new update it’s just not user friendly at all! As someone who’s worked in management, FOH, and BOH I advise every business owner to not get this updated version of Toast. TIME IS MONEY! The whole entire flow of the restaurant is now off because of how different this version is. It takes every single bartender and server at least 2-3 times as long to input orders now. Larger parties are a nightmare. You may as well park yourself at the screen for at least 5 minutes or more after inputting and reviewing your order. Before everything was so smooth. Now you’re squinting to see the screen and having to unnecessarily tap every step of the way.
Is there a way to go back to old toast before the new update? Unfortunately, after a month of using the new toast update, I find it to be more time consuming, and less organized. It's was very simple before, now the update made things less organized. I find ok using on the bigger tablet, but we only have one, and it's only for the bar
@Toasttab - We are trying to integrate/partner our app with Toast. We need API read/write access so that restaurants can get orders via Toast. But toast rejected us. Could you reconsider??
WHY does it look like I go to a locked admin portal everytime I log in. I can't access anything nor find my paycheck stubs. Your UX is HORRIBLE toast, hire me.
Good Story about one of San Diego’s original Mexican Food Families. One thing I notice is that most of the Legacy Operations still rely on tried and true recipes that keep them coming back! Cool Story Shawn.
This was a great episode, Shawn! I hadn't even heard of Irvs, and I've been operating restaurants myself for years! Love the deep story that can't be duplicated; loved the cute drawings on the burger plates (hope that stays!); and I love how bright the future is with Toast, and leadership!
I love how they incorporated the legacy artwork as a part of the aesthetic of the current locations. What a great way to pay homage to the love poured into the Irv's community!
My restaurant wants to turn the paying option off so people stop walking out on there tabs. Please help show me how to turn it off so it stops printing on the checks
