My name is Chris Williams and welcome to my channel. This channel is about everyday life and my adventures in life as well! I compose music for film and tv and work on the road as well. I have traveled in a RV full time and have built a Ram Promaster into an RV as well.
I also built a tiny home from a shed conversion.

You look like a fairly new and novice channel, so I'll give ya a sub. If I might offer a suggestion, though, when you're panning from side-to-side, up or down, slow down. Quick panning makes for a terrible nauseating viewing experience.
@@laid07 thank you very much. You know, I was watching that and thought the same thing. I need to get better at that. Thank you again for that suggestion.
We took The Cat back in 2008 from Yarmouth, NS, Canada to Bar Harbor, Me. I had a 29ft Winnebago and my wife was driving a Honda C/V. It was an Interesting ride.
In Point Judith, RI you can get the ferry to Block Island, which is decidedly NOT Martha's Vineyard. Autumn is the best time to go. Leave your Honda on the mainland and rent a bicycle or moped. You will not be disappointed. My family is from Block Island, so I've lived there. It's a wonderful community! 🙂
VHB tape will stick to wood. I used it to attach plywood panels to 80/20 quick frame flanges. I wanted to redo one of them the next day and it tore up the plywood (stained plywood) before it came off either surface. I should have just left it.
@@roygan5811 sure you have a 75 amp marine breaker between that Positive cable to a 12 V distribution bar of some sort. Just make sure that you’ve got the right power distribution off of that Ron. I ran mine off of Positive distribution bar that was directly from the battery terminal. Chris Fry at Cruise and comfort can answer any any other questions if you’re still unsure.
The reason the Coleman comfort cot was too big, it sounds like you ordered the big and tall version. I just happen to catch that when I was researching it for my element build. But yeah there’s two different sizes.
@@didiermejia780 I had a 2005 that I bought new and hosed it out all the time. Never had a problem. The elements were built for that. They have drain holes in them.
They make insulated sun shades for every window and the sunroofs for Honda Elements. Would probably save you a lot of money and grief. They make a 5 piece set for the rear windows you can find on eBay for around $50-60 dollars, I think. Would be better for holding in heat and a/c.
Lily, our 2019 Sprinter, 170 extended, XD, 4x4, has been in 47 of the 48 and North Dakota might happen next month. Lily has been from Vancouver Island to Key West. From Los Angeles to Montreal. She's been to the bottom of Death Valley and 12,000 ft up in Rocky Mountain National Park. All of this would have been a lot less enjoyable without our HD series, 24v, split Cruise N Comfort AC system. Save your roof space for a deck or better yet, more solar. Don't risk another hole in your roof; you won't know you have a leak until the damage is done. Cruise N Comfort and with confidence. PS: we did have a problem with our system; it kept losing its charge. Nobody would consider diagnosing the problem, much less fix it because it's a Mercedes and if they didn't build the van, they didn't want to fix somebody else's problem - and that's exactly what it was, our up-fitter builder didn't crimp the lines at the evaporator properly. Even though she was out of warranty, both the upfitter's and Cruise N Comfort's, we took Lily to THE specialist - to Cruise N Comfort in Tempe, AZ. Chris (Chris Frye, Owner) got under the van and spotted the crimping problem immediately. Chris set us up with new (and improved lines and fittings) and a local guy that could install them - Chris was getting ready for Overland Expo and besides, it was the builder's crimp job, not a probhem with his unit. Anyway, yeah, happy campers again! Thank you Chris.
Chick-Fil-A Sauce: 1/2 c Mayo 1/4 c BBQ Sauce 1/4 c Honey 2 Tbsp Mustard 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice Save your bottle and refill it yourself cheaper with ingredients you probably already have on hand.
I wish I had watched your video before buying a 1999 E-150 DIY campervan. I had no idea about any of this stuff and really thought insurance would be no big deal. It's just a van with a place to sleep in the back! No toilet, so what? Problem is that it was once a commercial cargo van. All I want it a liability policy so that I can legally have it on the road; I can live without coverage for the "build". Am I SOL or will anyone just give me plain liability. Texas resident.
That depends on the Value but I think you can. There are companies that will ensure the van but it’s just gonna be a little bit more expensive. I would think they would give you just liability. All depends on the state law in Texas. Each state is different. Also, if you can get it to a certain point where there’s running water and power in it, you can title as an RV and some states I’m not sure about Texas.
Can you share how your cabin foundation looks again for us with its piers?? I made notes about what you said regarding the pier height for the shed delivery. I'll have to go back and look at your shed delivery video. I appreciate you going over these things. Thanks for filming and sharing!
Thanks for the discussion. I think a lot of folks that our housing crisis/wealth gap are forcing into vehicles are probably unaware of the insurance difficulties. Knowing about it could totally change what vehicle you decide to look for.
I'm in Canada, and I find with Amazon most of their 'in stock' items are delivered BEFORE they said they would be ! I always tick off the 'free delivery' box. Even though it may be a couple of days later than the 'paid delivery' I find they often get it to me in the SAME time frame ! Win - win !!! So why pay for it ?!!!
In the sit down video where you go over pricing can you also include the costs for all the different inspections?? Also, since you'll be moving in the new cabin, where have you been staying while the construction was being completed?? Thanks!
I've had my panel on for 4 years and i cant pull them off if i wanted to. It is simple math to prove it is more than enough. They build satellites with this stuff. If you follow the instructions, you have nothing to worry about. Gut feeling isn't engineering.
Wow! the floors turned out great! what is it that you do for work?? Like you mentioned, you start off nervous about doing projects but they turn out well still. I enjoying watching this shed to home conversion, its great inspiration for when I start mine!
