Thank you man , my car battery died and I looked at you video and moments later I pushed my car as fast as I could (also wearing crocs) jumped in my car and hit the clutch and I was back rolling . Again thanks
update: it is required to turn the key to ignition too. so, it is implied that at least some power is required in the battery to start the combustion cycle once.
No gas. Just push the clutch all the way down and don’t let go until you get to about 5mph and get off the clutch. Once the car starts then you push the gas so you don’t stall or put it in neutral
Second gear is the appropriate gear to do this with . First gear will jerk the car, and third gear will lug the engine. First will work also but not good for the car.
Good question , Second gear is the appropriate gear to do this with . First gear will jerk the car, and third gear will lug the engine. First will work also but not good for the car.
sorry I didn’t really mention that. Push the clutch all the way down, while not moving, Put it in second gear. Do not let go of the clutch until you hit about 5 mph
I do this with my BMW just for the heck of it sometimes I wonder if the new ones will still do it or if they have some kind of safety switch also have been wondering if it'll work if you have a broken key transponder I thought that just is for the starter so I was wondering if you could turn the key and just roll started after that
Because if you pop the clutch at 5-10 mph, 2nd is the appropriate gear since the car is slowly moving. 1st will work but will jerk the car a lot and 3rd will cause the engine to lug.
That this can happen is a testament to how well put together a cars engine is, we take that for granted. Rocket motors and airplanes don't have this level of comfort
@@buttersavery0006 nah you could easily just go 1st gear if u steal a car. most first gears will redline at like 45 mph don't really need to know how to drive a stick to steal one
