Once involved in a popular machinima series. Now involved in something completely else. I am a World War 2 and Cold War era reenactor. This channel has shifted from my gaming days to more suit my hobby of reenacting. Also included as some vaporwave / military music videos and the occasional video game footage.
This was the last event there that I am aware of. There were a couple small events there then three large ones including this one. I was at the 3 large events. The second event someone decided to be an idiot and take a dump in one of the toilets in the cells. The site banned us because of this. However, this event was an accident from what I was made aware. We weren't supposed to be booked but got through and they allowed it. The site is now under some big time renovations in the last few years. I doubt now they would allow an event to take place there airsoft wise. I had heard in the '90s they used to do paintball inside, and there was evidence of it.
Nope. Plenty of people are not. If you are capable of doing research, retaining information, and have a drive to learn, you can go a lot further than many reenactors do.
don't think i played rainbow six rogue spear. h & k weapons, huh? i hope to shoot an mp5 someday. i, too, wonder where some of my old fragging buddies are these days. some of my fellow knifers in cs must be doing some awesome stuff.
что гимн, что другие песни на украине - панихида. Волгу вызываете, пока ещё хоть кто-то у вас остался, пока ещё западные гегемоны вас всех в расход не пустили.
There are a lot of reenactors that seem to not take it seriously by charging and using goofy tactics. In battles, especially tacticals, I try to survive as if it is an actual battle. A simulated battle using real guns can give you some insight of what tactics work and what doesn't. But the fear factor of real danger is different but for me it wasn't debilitating fear. When I had a defensive gun use, somehow I wasn't scared and I was calm and time was in slow motion. Thankfully the guy who pulled a gun on me ran when I drew my own gun. But that on top of bad car accidents I was in, the fear and trauma sets in after the adrenaline wears off and you think about how it could've ended worse.
Ive been watching this channel for years because its hard to find a reenactor who has actual good takes on many different subjects and isnt toxic like 95% of the community. My little brother is 10 and he loves the reenacting my brother and i do and i really appreciate how in and older video you encouraged the idea of younger people getting into the hobby. I hope to see you at d-day this year keep up the work 💯💯💯
I know nothing about reenacting I'm just making a comment. I can see that it's all fun. The only things I can say about this scene the coordination was not quite there everybody seems to be lost a little at what actions to take. The heroism is extremely brave to run up against a German position with just a pistol but I also agree that's not it a bad move. If that was real the German gay with the MP40 would have taken out the American with pistol easily from that position. But looks like the MP40 German character wasn't sure about what to do. He seemed unsure. The punches at the German who's already down is set upon by the crazy GI it is over the top. But I'm not a reenactor from my observation I can see some direction wouldn't have been a miss. Overall I to appreciate these young people doing what they love. I like too. I'm extremely jealous. I own a German uniform but never used. I wanted to join some reenactment group but it never happened. I didn't pursue and im not exactly a young person either. From Australia enjoy the fun. 👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
Me and my unit just went to Fort Meigs, its more of an event for the reenactors now. Its mostly a training event only 3 units showed up, we had a small skirmish with a small german unit.
Joining social media is poisonous in its own right, but even worse if it's hobby related. I think I left the hobby three or four times just because of Facebook groups alone.
I agree 100 percent with what you said. I do however have one issue I personally disagree with. the retreating part, mostly because at events I personally go to the hosts don't like it when we retreat so we're told not to fall back most of the time. (At least for the events I go to) Although I love the idea and believe it should be implemented.
I’m gonna start WW2 reenacting next year (I have to be a medic cuz I’m gonna be 16 in October.) and even though I don’t know some about the hobby yet, I know a good amount. And I say that if you’re gonna be a medic a reenactment, I’d say be 16 or if you’re under 16, have an adult with you.
haha I'll give you a sub for this! :D Edit: forgive me for asking, but what is the music used in this video? I'm unfamiliar with Russian music and want to listen to it more
